Islamic leaders opened their largest convention of the year yesterday in the District by denouncing the September 11 attacks, but saying Muslims have suffered as much as the country as a whole.
"September 11 was much more painful for us as Muslims because our nose was dragged into the tragedy," Sayyid M. Syeed, secretary-general of the Islamic Society of North America, said in his opening remarks from a stage graced with American flags at the Washington Convention Center.

Sorry, but they are nearly a year too little, too late.
Thanks to the web, I saw all those pictures of people celebrating the fall of the Towers, the deaths of thousands of helpless, innocent people, and my heart simply has no room for sympathy for these folks.
The die is cast, the gloves have come off, no quarter is asked, and none is given anymore.

"Our nose was dragged into it." Yeah, I saw the photos of Palestinians dancing in the streets. I've heard how the Friday sermons broadcast from Cairo to Teheran, for the past several years, include the entire populace chanting "Death to Israel. Death to America."
What did these people do to save their noses from being dragged into it when the WTC was first bombed in February 1993 ??

Too little, too late.
Their silence is deafening.

Let's hold them to their sincerity!
Before their staged press conference fades totally from the public's attention,
let's keep their complicit butts at the microphones. I demand you stay at the podium, you who say it wasn't you so let us slide!!!!!!!
I demand you American moslems condemn militant islam!
I demand you condemn the ones who handed out candy!, the one's who danced!!
I demand you condemn the sermons in the mosques that call for attacks on Americans and Israelis!!!!

...Muslims have suffered as much as the country as a whole.
Those self-inflicted wounds are a b-tch, aren't they?
Nice to hear y'all feel our (average American's) pain...about a year after the fact!
I guess that just like the Palestinians, these folks are just as inept and transparent
as to their real feelings and motives.
The better for us to realize what they really want...a Shar'ia-law USA.

"September 11 was much more painful for us as Muslims because our nose was dragged into the tragedy," Yeah, that sounds a lot more painful than getting blown up, crushed, losing family and friends, and searching through wreckage.

Elsayed Orady, president of the Association of Muslim Social Scientists, called
September 11 a "personal tragedy for all of us" and denounced "profiling of Muslims."
Yeah, when all (or at least virtually all) of the people involved in 9-11
and arrested in the past year are MUSLIMS, it sure must be a tragedy...
as even the most dull-witted American realizes who's trying to kill us.
(With the exception of reasonable Muslims in places like Turkey...)

Booths staffed by several activist groups lined the walls of the convention center
lobby. Several of the anti-Israel handouts condemned U.S. funding of Israel.
That's the ultimate goal folks.
To make sure Dubya and A Few Good Man don't take out Sadaam...so that Sadaam
can get his nukes (and other toys) to cow/destroy Israel.
Why else would places like Kuwait and Saudi Arabia council leaving Sadaam alone
to build more goodies in his workshop?

It took a year for this pale thin excuse of a statement? That's exactly what it is- an excuse. And a poor one at that.

The die is cast, the gloves have come off, no quarter is asked, and none is given anymore. They will ask for quarter, they will demand quarter, they deserve no quarter. They will be given quarter.
They deserve death.

America is free to all who wish to embrace the land of the free but it seems our newcomers don't appreciate and surely have no intentions of embracing the country that allows them to prosper financially as well as spiritially. As workers were still digging bodies from the rubble, Moslems were defending themselves and creating excuses for the unexcuseable. They had the audacity to extol the virtues of Islam and the diggers kept on digging. Perhaps they had intermittent thoughts of Islam actually winning and their religion becoming our government some day. Perhaps they were afraid of being harmed by their own. Whatever their inner thoughts, they feel only for themselves and give whimsical honor to those that died. And America is their homeland! How sad for us and lucky for them!
