AUNTIE JANET ON THE STUMP: Reno tries to recapture momentum

With the Democratic gubernatorial nomination suddenly no sure thing, Janet Reno took to the wheel of her little Red Truck in Central Florida on Saturday, defiantly predicting she'll win despite polls that show her opponent is gaining steam.

''We can do it with the spirit and the fire I've seen in Democrats from Pensacola to Key West,'' Reno told supporters at a union picnic in Ocala, just before a downpour sent attendees scattering. ``This has been one great experience and it's going to be two more months of wonderful experiences.''

McBride's nearly meteoric rise in the polls.
(the death nell of Reno)
consider;

she encouraged about 20 supporters in Orlando
Vs.
McBride campaigned retail-style Saturday, speaking to 125 union workers at a breakfast in Gainesville,
visiting with 300 people at a noon picnic in Titusville,

"After McBride spoke for 15 minutes, there was a sign of his growing popularity. Ten people immediately surrounded him and created a moving scrum as he walked away from the stage."

A "moving scrum"?

Hell, there weren't enough people to even have a rugby match, never mind a scrum!

You think Lesley Clark and Tyler Bridges meant scum?

They should have cut that shaky witch loose on a surf board in the shark infested waters off South Florida a long time ago. I figure it ought to take her about 10 hrs. to be in her hotty Fidel's arms!

I thought that Auntie Janet was in the process of 'checking out' as a victim of Parkinson's desease? At least, that's what I thought during the final Klinton years? I even, for a brief moment, felt sorry for her back in '99......

The wheels are coming of the little (Commie) Red Truck tour. Sour much for life in the fast lane for the "useful idiot", corruption-covering Janet.

In spite of all the media spin about McBride, a local poll found that most (more than half) don't know who he is.

McBride had a 'rally' here Thursday and only the usual local political hacks showed up and a few bystanders wandered by to see if something free was being given away.

Reno will get all the "I'm as dumb as a stump" voters, and since were talking Democrats, that should be a majority.

Does anyone realize how many cans of dog food can be rendered from this gargantuan?

Consider all the other goodies that can be made from the non-edible parts:

You can get a jawbone similar to that of an ass, a backbone that could be the I-beam for the Clinton Library of Pornography in Little Rock, a brain for forensic scientists to study for eons, teeth that Eskimos could use for hollowing out canoes, blubber to keep the Japanese gourmets happy for decades, hair that could be used to weave a chastity belt for Britney and just all kinds of bizarre memorabilia.

Of course she'd have to expire first.

On the other hand, she could be stuffed and mounted (in a nice way, I mean) as a statue at Waco, Texas at the site of her first important decision.

Liz, thanks for the ping.

capt. norm, I agree with you: Reno will win the Dem Primary. BTW, the rest of FL's Dem voters -- those not enamored with any Dem candidate -- have already said they are voting for Jeb. About 30% of FL Dem voters in one recent poll.

With these crossover votes from Dems, plus the majority of FL's independents supporting Gov. Bush, plus the overwhelming support he has from his own base in FL, Gov. Bush is sure to win in November, no matter who is the Dem nominee.

The only question is the margin of win for Gov Bush. If the candidate is Reno, I predict it may be more than a 30% margin of win for him, and possibily 40%. (a 70/30 win)

I don't think you can do that, it is against the law to scare the sharks.

I honestly do not see how this candidate with Parkinson's
and a history of fainting spells can keep up this pace?
I will be surprised if the health level she has now holds up under the stress.
