It has been a rotten couple of years for political guru Bob Beckel, who parlayed his fame as Democratic nominee Walter Mondale's 1984 campaign manager into a career as a ubiquitous television pundit.
First the 53-year-old spin doctor, a recovering alcoholic, fell off the wagon and checked into rehab after coming under fire in December 2000 for his efforts to persuade Republican presidential electors to betray their party affiliation and vote Al Gore into the White House. Then came his contentious, prolonged and expensive divorce from Georgetown University golf coach Leland Beckel, his wife of 10 years and the mother of their two young children.
But the worst development was last Friday, when Journal newspaper reporter Lauren Dunn -- relying on a search warrant filed Aug. 26 in Alexandria Circuit Court -- revealed that Beckel allegedly paid a Fairfax County woman a total of $1,900 to perform sex acts at his Bethesda home in late June, and then was the victim of a $50,000 extortion scheme as the woman and two associates allegedly threatened him with public exposure.

Meet your next Democratic party chairman. He is perfect to follow McAuliff and his patron Bill Clinton.
Isn't life grand. This rotten-to-the-core democrat pol is ,himself, a prostitute. He gets paid to screw republicans, and he will love any democrat who will pay him.
In fairness, I guess Dick Morris, and our Republican consultants do the same.

Lets not forget Chuck Robb's back rub. But then, we all know that he cleared things up when he reassured us that it was only a massage. Problem is, it was probably paid for with campaign donations.

Liz, yesterday there were radio news reports that Beckel was bringing a huge ($50MM?) lawsuit against the local police department "for allowing his name to be released" in this matter...
I assume this is just Bob's way of pandering to the trial lawyers for future gigs and perhaps a run at public office. Bob "The Torch" Beckel!
To: ReleaseTheHounds
Yup, you nailed it. Beckel and the rest of the Clinton retreads love to see their name in lights.....

I'll save my compassion for the hopefully soon to be ex-Mrs. Beckel and the kids. Beckel deserves none.

In fairness, I guess Dick Morris, and our Republican consultants do the same. You are too, too kind. Don't you remember Dick Morris was a Clinton in-house consultant before he decided to parlay his experiences into a news column and TV punditry?
Morris sickens me.....he'll swing both ways.....whereever the money is.

I looked at her picture on the website linked above......(forgive me if I don't post it).
When I see "Tiffany" in that ad photo, all I can think of is Bob saw her in that thong---and fantasized he was Bill Clinton and wanted a thong-snapping bimbo to deliver him a pizza.

It gets ugly when democrats display what being devoid of character does to their lives.

It gets ugly when democrats display what being devoid of character does to their lives.Yes it does. Character is a whole cloth. When one part becomes soiled, the filth spreads to all the other parts.

Could be ........BillyBoy is still a role model for those who can't distinguish a lie from the truth....

Beckel, the conniving Clintons, and the rest of their sordid camp followers are so low, they have to step up about six feet when they step out.

There's got to be more to this story. Why would the mere fact that Beckel had hired a prostitute be grounds for his being blackmailed?
By the way, I wonder if Beckel's association with prostitutes may explain his plans to try to turn some Republican electors right after the 2000 election. I wonder if prostitutes furnished him with any juicy information.

HAHAHAHH! Now you know why he defended Klintoon. If you looked far enough you'd find most of the Toon's defenders are similar perverts.
