With a nuke, sadman will try to establish his place in history as the preeminent arab muslim by destroying Israel.
Interesting that he thinks that would be a good way for history to remember him. Also if he were to have nukes, he would be able to intimidate his neighbors even more.
So the question is this, do we go to the mat for Israel?
If we go after sadman do his neighbors understand that we do it for them or will they all act like france and spit in the face of America?
It's a hard sell because many believe Israel isn't really any more of a friend then Egypt. That we kiss israel butt to placate the Jewish loby. While Israel is the largest recepient of American financial and military aid they still attack our ship and spy on us in our own country.
We turn our backs on genocide other places, why so concerned here?
These folks in the Mid-East have fought for 4000 years and nothing we do will put a stop to the continuation of hostilities. Too many assaults and murders for too many years. It's understandable, you kill my babies and I will hate you forever. You kill any of my family and forever I'll kill you given the chance.
Regardless of how the chips fall we need to support our troops. They are our friends, neighbors and our family.

Reassuring to know that "many" Senators are not impressed by this kind of information. To them millions being blown up 2-10
years from now is like saying the universe may end in ten billion years. And these are the totally political nincompoops the President is supposed to "consult" with.
