Tallahassee- A former consultant of Sen. Bob Graham's Education Excellence Initiative accuses Graham of laundering money for the initiative and taking campaign contributions without reporting them.

The Education Initiative contends that Robert Kaplan's complaints to federal and state investigators accusing the campaign of money laundering are "abusive and derogatory."

You guys are speedy! Thanks for the link, AAA. PKM, this is the first I've heard about Sen. Graham's questionable ethics though his former employee has been working hard at getting this info out for some time it appears. Lawsuits filed in federal and state courts, and effort enough (over how many years(?)) to provoke a restraining order? If this had been a Republican Senator, and head of the Senate Intel Committee...would the "noble" press have felt obligated to inform the American people?

Julie, I posted a thread about this earlier this year if you want to check it out. It may have other facts omitted from the latest news. It's on my profile page - I'm certain. I was calling the Capitol today anyway. Now I can complain about 1. security v. union security,2. Judicial Committee spiking Priscilla Owens for a 5th Circuit Job (Daschle said not qualified. Is Daschle even an attorney to say that? 3. And, now this, the laundering of money by one or our dem senators. That's three today alone.

Senator Graham, I am shocked!!!

The Democratic Party has no credibility left but the average citizen is still largely uninformed on the issues of the day.

This is great timing but will the media really cover this? If one of us knows a talk show host or tv pundit, please contact them with this story.

Regarding McBride, I believe that he has skeletons in his closet that I think can be tied to his home in the Bahamas and because his firm specializes in offshore banking and white collar crime. He knows all about that stuff and I don't his firm was on the prosecutorial side. Hello, there McLawyer. I asked Cris Ruddy of Newsmax to investigate McBride instead of Reno. I'd buy that book. No response but you never know. If they really want to help conservatives, maybe they'll do an expose on McBride.

Are they safe until the 2004 elections? Well, unless Graham gets his wrist slapped in the Senate like the Torch who should have been indicted. Changes of Graham getting indicated are slim and none IMO.

Trafficante is probably less of a criminal then Torch or Graham.

Dem rats usually married wealthy widows or heireses. Bob Kerry's wife's the Heinz Ketchup heiress. He's just one example. In fact, rino McCain married into a wealthy family. I'd say in Graham's case, he married a wealthy debutante who he met at college and she has ties to the newspaper you were referring to. I don't know if something like that would be on Graham's bio or not.

In the end, they are all crooks, no better than defendants in RICO cases.
