I have visited the mass graveyard at St. Petersburg. Unbelievable. There are vast tracts of land each marked by one single simple stone: "1942."
A place of great sadness. It must not happen in America, through the sweet-sounding, evil words of American Chamberlains.

It is time to deal with Saddam NOW!! No waiting, I want my children to grow up in a world where they can walk down a street and not worry about a dirty bomb going off, or some Islamic fundamentalist nutjob tossing anthrax out of an airplane over an entire city.
Time to take this piece of trash out, NOW, before it is too late.

The whole notion of "firing the first shot" is simply absurd in the modern context, where you are not losing a couple of soldiers, but entire cities if you wait too long.
The rules of "fairness" have not been sufficiently re-written since the atomic age and require change. But ultimately, we are not bound by any rules of fairness, but only by our national security.
Our criminal law allows you to shoot first if you are in a situation where your life is perceived to be in danger. "Assault" can be as simple as threatening words, which we already have from Saddam.

"...My good friends, for the second time in our history, a British Prime Minister has returned from Germany bringing peace with honor. I believe it is peace for our time. Go home and get a nice quiet sleep." -- Neville Chamberlain, September 30, 1938.
It is amazing that we have so many Chamberlains in our time telling us it's okay to sleep.
