I don't know - I think woman CAN be just as aggressive as men with domestic violence ( I know a lot of women who have whacked their men - I had an acqaintance once who stabbed her husband in the shoulder with a fork at a family dinner - amazing.)

But I do think when a man beats up a woman, for sheer physical strength he is a lot more likely to do a greater amount of damage. And the previous is the only serious injury from woman to man I personally ever heard of, while I know quite a few women who were badly beaten by their husbands, and a few had to leave to save their lives.

Women can be even more violent than men..and there are plenty of small statured men out there who can attest to just how physically strong a woman can be. And I've never heard a man talk the way I've heard females talk about their revenge fantasies.. not that men don't have them, but the sheer brutality of the womens talk far surpasses anything I've ever heard from a man. I'm glad this research is seeing the light of day.. it's about time the truth came out.

You forgot that women can use tools like knives for example. The second factor is that men are very hesitant to brag about being attacked by a wife or girlfriend and they are not eager to formally complain.

Many people do not grasp the repercussions of an R.O.

Firstly, they are filed without a hearing from both parties....wide open to abuse by an aggrieved party.

Secondly, the R. O. immediately deprives the other party from access to their home,posessions,vehicles,bank accounts, stock certificates,records,etc. The cited party has to call a police officer to escort them into their home and they are only allowed to garner a set of clothes and toilet articles.

Thirdly a R.O. deprives the named party from any contact with their children.

Fourthly, the R.O. demands that the named party surrender all firearms.

Finally the R.O. declares the named party guilty without a court hearing and is often used as a vehicle of vengence and asset stripping.

Let me give you an example I dealt with recently, a friend went to work a few Fridays ago , as he returned home he was stopped by the police and served the R.O, taken out by his wife that afternoon and signed by the judge at 4.30 pm.His wife was having an affair and stated that he appeared threatening one day a few months ago as he questioned her whereabouts.He could not go home, he could not see his children,by Monday his wife had cleaned his accounts and sold his stockholdings, by Tuesday her boyfriend had moved into his house, by Wednesday his mortgage payment was due,and so on,it took four weeks before a hearing before the Judge, who reversed her decision...too late, he was already ruined.

My experience the R.O. is abused beyond belief.

Women are more likely to use a weapon, and men are more likely not to report being assaulted.
And if the man is injured severely enough to seek medical attention he is more likely to deny the domestic violence and offer a benign explanation.

Together with abortion, the domestic violence racket has relied on deliberate outright fraud.

This is why "feminists" could drop to their knees in front of a violent rapist: they knew full well they had betrayed their own integrity long ago, and were fundamentally no better than he.
