No, what is keeping third parties from gaining any headway is a combination of needing enormous amounts of money and the fact that neither major party will give up its stranglehold on the 2-party system. Third parties are prevented from taking part in debates, and even if they rise above that obstacle, big dollars and carefully contrived "rules" keep them off the ballots. It shouldn't be that way, but it is. I don't know the answer.

Maybe you can discuss that next Sunday or at least at the FReeper meeting the following Saturday. I look forward to meeting you.

Thanks, I look forward to meeting you as well. The situation is not as bleak as it once was. I expect a major barrier to come down, in our state at least, sometime this month. It could happen between now and these meetings.
