I've said in this forum many times before that conservatives need to consider the universities and the editorial staffs of the major media as the battle grounds for the minds of Americans.

I can count the number of conservatives in my building of 400 to 500 people at Univ. of VA on one hand.

THEY (lefists) are LEGION and I have spent a lot of time over the last 10 years trying to provide facts and figures in an attempt to change hearts and minds.

News media anyone?

Ah, but where did the news media get their bias from? Public schools plant the seeds of liberalism; colleges and universities refine it. Our opponent is the education system. If we wish to restore our country to its former glories, we must choke off socialism at its source.

Question: if you had learned about 9/11 from an illegal wire tap and could have saved those 3,000 lives, would you have violated the civil rights of the terrorists by arresting them without a warrant? Yes, or no?

This is where the battle must be fought.

I respectfully disagree.... IMHO, the battle must FIRST be taught in preparatory schools. Our children must be taught conservative principles from first grade onward.

Otherwise, college is too late to heal their minds.

If the NEA can't be destroyed, HOME SCHOOL!

"Question: if you had learned about 9/11 from an illegal wire tap and could have saved those 3,000 lives, would you have violated the civil rights of the terrorists by arresting them without a warrant? Yes, or no?"

Actually I would have been prepared to shoot them myself personally, BUT I would have expected to face the consquences in court afterwards, and been prepared to go to jail.

Let them be arrested, and then face the consequences. The result of the lives saved would have outweighed any personal consequences. A presidential pardon might have been appropriate but would not be part of the opriginal calculation.

Now having answered that, the whole premise of your question is ludicrous and not worthy of a response.

Saddam Hussein, Hitler, and Mao Tse Tuntg are all well known as succesful crime fighters. We can better fight crime by having perfect knowledge of everyone's personal behaviour. But such prevention does not even occur in the toughest prisons.

Violation of personal rights is a criminal act and the violators should go to jail, especially if they work for the government (they have been vested with a special social trust to uphold the Constitution).

This is the real homeland security battleground. David Horowitz needs support. So far he's been carrying on the fight virtually alone.

" If the NEA can't be destroyed, HOME SCHOOL! "

That's not a battle, it is a lifesaving operation. Homeschools are the lifeboats to a Titanic public education system.

I'm already homeschooling my two boys, though I do have a daughter who is doing "missionary work" as a senior in a public high school. She has their number, but it is very tough for her, and she wants to finish. (she is National Honors and All State cello, but the place is loaded with criminals and drug users and losers)

Won't work. The left will just encourage people to register Republican or independent and then vote democrat. They're slimy creatures that weasel their way around anything.

The sad fact is were the opposite true, the liberals would be in an uproar, and the media would be on this 24/7 making court cases unnecessary. Remember when the media attacked Bob Jones University? (I hope that is the name). The constant criticism of it's conservative Christian views and rules caused an uproar that led to compromises being made.

Fight back by going to engineering or business school.

Its overdue. We need to find ways of "defunding" them so they'll die of natural causes.
