Just heard that Healey is beating Rappaport 2 to 1 in his summer home town of Brewster on the Cape......if Pubbies give Mitt Romney who he wanted as a running mate...and the independents help him in Nov......MA could have a GOP governor!

Yes she is - and I hope they keep putting pastels on her - it brightens her whole face. Lovely ladies, both of them.

When I was in school, back in the dark ages, we had history every year of junior high and high school except for a semester of Civics. If students do not know their history, then they will not know where this country has been or where it is going. That is very important today. I loved history and thought about majoring in it in college but I changed my mind after the first year. I still enjoy it a lot and love to read. In elementary school, my favorite books were the small books about our Founding Fathers and other important historical figures.

"...so he is putting programs in place that will force them to teach the truth
about what a great country this is. "

No matter how many times I say that it isn't possible to love this President any more, he comes up with still another way. THANK YOU, US SUPREME COURT; THANK YOU GOD!

I think the algore majored in putting his finger in the air to see how he should think and what he should say. Did you see him blaming Governor Bush for the latest Florida voting fiasco? He looked like a total dope. If he gets the nomination, Bush will beat him like a drum! I saw a new California poll today - even there, Bush would beat Gore 52% to 40%....hehehehe...

History is still my favorite subject MamaB. It has bothered me for years how the liberals have revised history. They no longer study our own country like we did, but are more 'global' in their approach. We were taught we had the greatest country in the universe but that is considered insensitive now. This new program is a welcome return to sanity.

David McCoullough spoke in support of the new education incentive. As someone who loves History, I applaud the President's idea. Those who forget history are only condemned to repeat it.

Yes, I do believe that is Alma Powell next to Lynne. Laura is such a breath of fresh air and her husband is phenomenal.

Did y'all catch Dick Morris's glowing assessment of W and his political skills? As much as I hate to admit it, Clinton did have political skills but W so surpasses him because beyond his political skill and acumen is a real man who means what he says. Clinton's political skills fell short because he didn't have the character to back them up.

I don't think I've said this today but I LOVE OUR PRESIDENT!!

Heard the Rose Garden speech today.....important message on the need for children to know American History. Have you seen Lynne Cheney's children's book? Wonderful message & illustrations!

Love that pic of lovely Lynne & lovely Laura! Our Prez & Veep are lucky to have such wonderful women supporting them!

LOL!! Seriously, he made a D in some crip science course (earth science?), his lone credential for pinning that "scientific" tome, Earth in the Balance.

I didn't see last night's Dose until this afternoon and you two were a riot.

I tell you, it took me an hour to stop laughing last night!

It's especially funny to picture the two of us, posting in a frenzy, ignoring the posts of people trying to tell us what was going on!

Ah, but we got a double the pleasure, double the fun, eh?

Can't get too much of this man!!

Did any of you see Dick Morris on H&C?? I tell you, he thinks Bush is absolutely brilliant! ......and of course he is RIGHT! :o)

Yes he did and he sounded ridiculous with his sing song voice and fake Southern accent. I guess since he was in Florida he thought he had to turn on his drawl. Did you notice he's letting some of his gray hair show? The new Al -- mature, gray temples -- he's praying this incarnation will work.
