A group of 19 House Democrats yesterday pledged to build a congressional coalition to oppose a U.S. military attack on Iraq.

"Unilateral military action by the United States against Iraq is unjustified, unwarranted and illegal," said Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich, who predicted "dozens" more Democrats would join their group in coming days to oppose the Bush administration's plan for an attack. "The administration has failed to make the case that Iraq poses an imminent or immediate threat to the United States."

Bring back Joe McCarthy.

Yes! In spite of all the indoctrination I've received all my life, possibly the biggest paridigm shift in my personal model of the political world since 91101 has been the realization that MCCARTHY WAS RIGHT!!!

Look at Hollywood, which McCarthy purged. Once again full of leftists, communists, com-symps (pinkos), and all manner of immoral advocacy groups pushing their agendas on Americas youth through TV and film.

Look at the State Department which McCarthy purged. Same thing. Ready to support any third world craphole over our country. Look at the treatment of those whose children were kidnapped to Saudi. Or the refusals to end the Visa Express style programs for terrorists. Or just the general foot-dragging and dis-inclination to obey the President. We need a thorough house-cleaning at State.

Anti-americanism runs rampant throughout the government. I say if you don't support the government you have no business drawing a check from the government.

Furthermore I say the public needs a bit of re-education on the laws against treason, sedition, espionage, and conspiracy. Free speech does not confer the right to advocate, support, or plan the violent overthrow of the United States government. Nor is it legal to give aid and comfort to enemies of our country. Nor material aid nor information.

People need to wake up for God's sake. Free Speech does NOT mean you can destroy our country from inside. The constitution is not a suicide pact.

I'm a McCarthyite and proud of it.

The socialist crooks who go around crying "McCarthyism" every time some patriotic American calls them on their America bashing are about to get a wake up call.

Mr. Kucinich and Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee, Texas Democrat, said some House Republicans are likely to join them in their effort.

If any do - someone PLEASE get us a list! I'd like to know which Republicans are defecting.

Anyone know what International law or any law for that matter these dems are citing when they claimthat a unilateral attack is "illegal?"

Sounds like they're extremely despirate. They're having political temper tantrums. Nothing else they've done to bring back the nations' (and the worlds) Clintonian intrest in building a world wide Marxist state has worked. Their Socialist policies are getting the back seat, and because of that they're losing political (dictorial) power.
Liberals go nuts when they're out of power.
They're freaking out because they aren't getting the attention they want. No one sees them anymore. They're specks on the world stage. Waaaa.

Demorcats standing fast against terrorism.

They do not believe the threat that Iraq may unleash.

Osama Bin Laden is just a single guy, living in caves. Yet he is capable of attacking the U. S., which resulted in close to 3000 deaths. You ran out of the Capital building in fear on Sept 11, or did you forget that.

Iraq has a uniformed Army, so it makes it different. Saddam wears a military uniform, with a holstered pistol at his side. That makes him a "combatant", not a politician. He is a terrorist!! He pays the families of terrorists for killing innocent people, uses chemical weapons against his own people, has invaded all his neighboring countries, and has not complied with U. N. resolutions that left him in power after Gulf War of 1991. What does he need to do to make you run in fear?

Elected official's knew Oama's name long before Sept 11. You knew from the loss of life from our embassies in Africa, and in Yemen when the U. S. S. Cole was attacked. You know Saddam's name also. You stood behind your parties President in 1998. That was before our fellow American's were slaughtered where they felt safe.

Do not pretend you do not know the threat. Protect the people that voted for you. When an Iraqi "nuke" goes off in Isreal or is detonated in the U. S. Capital, it will be too late.

Would you rather be known as a Senator that protected the lives of the innocents, or the Senator that would not cooperate with a President because he is from a different political party. The choice is yours. History is waiting your decision.

Mrs. Kaptur said it had to do with oil. "Fighting for oil and those dictatorships that prop up the politics of oil is not worthy of the loss of one more American life," she said.

....After making this statement to reporters, she climbed into her Cadillac Escalade and drove off.

Mr. McDermott alluded to the Vietnam War. "I saw what happens when you send your people to something where it is unclear why they're there, what the goal is," he said.

Exactly what is unclear about the mission in Iraq?
