THE greatest social change in the history of humanity happened in the United States over the past 50 years. Women broke their ancient chains and became men's partners instead of remaining men's property. This shift in the status of women is the decisive strategic factor of our time.

I'm waiting to be a trophy husband or homemaker man but so far it hasn't happened.

I completely support equal rights, opportunities, and responsibilites for men and women.

But the writer of this article is such an a-hole it's hard to agree with him.

Oh, and those 70 virgins? Sounds like a lot of dreary work to me. I'll take one American career-woman any day (ain't nothing like a major babe in a tailored suit who picks up the dinner tab).

American women kick ass. And that's the best news since humanity mastered fire, the wheel and the process of fermentation.

I've known guys who BS like this in my lifetime. They are most generally 'after something'.

Nope, the problem started long before that, when we gave them the right to vote.

This guy wants a woman who will tie him up, whip him, and give him enemas, I suspect.

THE real story is in the success and contributions of the women reading this paper on their way to work, in the careers of the women I served beside in the military and in the female president we're going to elect as soon as we decide we need a chief executive who can speak in complete sentences.

anyone wanna bet this maroon was one of clinton's boy toys ?

I wonder if this clown tries to use these idiotic revisionist lines to pick up women. Even diehard feminazis can't stand a bootlicking wuss.

here is what kills me about wimmens
1. it was Eve who ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge
and Adam ,after asking why Eve was nekkid, realized she
was OUTTA THERE (the garden of eden) and would have
surely died away from God's protection,in a chivalrous
move,Adam too ate of the forbidden tree, both of course,in sin in God's eye...From then to now, wimmens have rebelled
not against society but against God. I have heard on TV that God thinks wimmens are less than...well is that really
true ? God wrote the 10 commandments as we all know

thou shalt not ...... tou shalt not.....love thy father
and mother.......but of all of these, said God,the greatest
is to honor your mother and father......so what did God
really think of wimmens ??????????????

Rosie the Riveter is in the boardroom. She flies combat aircraft. She's a lawyer, a doctor, a cop, a journalist and, sometimes, still a factory worker. In every role she fills, she's the real hero of post-modern America.

It's nice to know women are over that silly motherhood thing.

I wish this article would at least touch on the fact that there are a lot of women who have abused their newfound freedoms by divorcing good men who have fathered their children, and then remarrying again and again. I've personally met too many guys who have a kid that they never get to see, but they sure get to pay for them. This just isn't right, and it needs to change, and soon.

For the longest time it was practically automatic that when there was a divorce the children went with the mother. Perhaps we need a thirty year period where the children automatically go with the fathers? Maybe that would cool the eagerness of some of these women to dump their husbands and go looking for someone better?

And Conservative women, like those who hang out here at FR, are even more repulsed.

LOL.

Of course.

What woman instinctively wants a child by a bootlicking wuss? That would all but ensure her son would also be a bootlicking wuss. Not the best way for a woman's genes to survive.

Yes, women in our society have more freedom than practically any in the history of the world. But at what price? I worry for the coming generations of dysfunctional children nutured at the teat of socialist day care government workers substituting as mommy all day while she is out trying to conquer corporate America or, at the very least, trying not appear to be one of those "stay-at-home" moms that all her college pals frown upon as if they were prostitutes.

I don't think the present arrangement makes men particularly happy, makes women particularly happy or makes for good, stable children. The uropia this author envisions might lead to worsening crime and anti-social behavior as children find nobody cares about them the way only a mother can. I don't think making CEOs of women or running day cares out of the workplace will solve this problem either.

It's economics, not equality, that has pushed a lot of American women into the workforce. For those that truly want to forgo parenting for the working world, go forward and I wish you well. But for the women who would rather nurture their children all day, this "wartime all the time" economy has forced them to fit children around making a living. The men are hardly substitutes in this area. The work of raising and nurturing children will always be chiefly a woman's domain and no amount of social engineering or anti-male platitudes will change it for the better.

I talk to God several times a day. I suppose I COULD ask his opinion. However, it might be best if you ask that question of him.
