New news today is Toogood's hubby has been convicted of home improvement scams. My bet is (and I said this yesterday) he pulls in the big scam money while idiot Toogood is scamming petty cash from department stores via shoplifting and bogus returns for cash.


They own a Cadillac Escalade and some other vehicles.

What a surprise eh? While I don't know about Toogood herself, I suspect that some of the women of the Travelers also engage in other fraud crimes like bad checks and theft from the homes people who are gullible or elderly. I suspect that some of these people have been engaged in fraud and deceit for decades, and are quite good at it - and quite good at training others in their craft, which is why I think the little girl should be yanked as far away from them as they can take her.

The Travelers live mostly in enclaves in the East and hunker down during the winter months and live relatively good lives. After winter ends they spread out across the nation to commit their crimes and bring back the loot to the family during the winter. I don't think they are drug users though, as that might bring too much heat on the group.

Winter is coming soon and the Travelers will be headed back to the East, to rest and get ready for next year's attack on America. They remind me of the maurading hordes of Europe of ancient times who would rest in the winter and loot and pillage in the spring and summer.

I didn't bother watching the interview with Greta, as I believed it would be pointless. I suspected that Greta, for varying reasons, would not ask hard and pointed questions. The interview would be nothing more than a convenient ratings blip.

ANOTHER TIDBIT: Was reported that authorities in Indiana are looking into the family's finances. Not too unusual when mom (and scammer dad) wants the child back that's in state custody.

There must be a division of labor that's proven successful down the years. Their women take care of certain scams and the men take care of others. The men take the boys on their journeys to show them the ropes on roofing scams etc. They take the boys out of school and the truancy officers can't sort out the mess in such a closed community with so many people having the same legal names BUT with plenty of nicknames.

They need to do a two track investigation though. One is to determine the legiticimacy of their income, and the other is to search for illegal income and freeze it, and refer illegal activity for FURTHER prosecution.!

It's been speculated that Bill and Hillary have ties with these Irish Travellers and that they are reveared by these groups for having pulled off the biggest con job in history;the hijacking of the Democratic party and subsequently the US political system(they are both Irish background reputedly and as these groups tend to intermarry...?) Look at the behavior and criminality in these two and in their entourages. Look at the ruined lives and mouldering corpses. That's a good analogy to the Clinton's and the Travelers. The Clinton's were referred to as grifters by some writers. The chief difference between the Clinton's and the Travelers is the Travelers share the loot to some extent, the Clinton's pretty much took it all, including cleaning out the White House when they left. They did indeed pull off the biggest hijack in History. They hijacked the Democratic Party, which took them to the White House. Then the hijacked the justice Department, including the Federal Courts. One can only guess about the amount they finagled while they had control of the Commerce Department, among other agencies. They should go down in history at least as the greatest outlaw gang/criminal enterprise in American History It was indeed wildly successful.

Serp, you left out the best part -- here's the whole lawyer quote from AP/Fox:

Attorney Steven Rosen called the plea a formality and later said there was no point in trying to challenge the surveillance videotape in court.

"We will probably enter a guilty plea and throw ourselves on the mercy of the court," Rosen said after the arraignment.

He added: "If a jury has to sit in judgment of this lady, the jury is going to come back with a guilty verdict ... I'm confronted with a videotape that shows Attila the Hun, no question about it."


And re the child having no injuries, so maybe it wasn't really that bad a beating, please keep in mind that there is NO reason to believe that the child turned over to authorities is the same child being beaten in the video. Please folks, these are professional scam artists, and very inbred ones at that. They had 8 days, during which the woman travelled through several states, to dump the beaten child and pick up and coach a substitute who could pass for the same child. Or maybe 8 days was long enough for the bruises to heal -- parents who do this sort of thing regularly, and are part of a community of scam artists, probably know how to deliver vicious beatings without leaving obvious marks (start by punching in the head, where hair tends to conceal bruises).

I heard just a blurb yesterday that Toogood was denied a plea bargain. Does anyone have any more information?
