[history]
I never miss watching the Miss America contest. Those kids say the darndest things!
This year, Tanisha Nicole Brito said it best. When asked the grueling question of which noncontestant American woman she would like to see as Miss America, Tanisha (Miss Connecticut) did not hesitate. "Condoleezza Rice, because she is so smart and because she is a Christian!" This answer was met with ooohhs and aaahhs by her fellow contestants.

Maybe that last explains how one self-described Jesus-smitten contestant answered the question from TV host Julie Moran: "Which is better, one-piece or bikini?" "If you've got it, flaunt it!" the contestant replied.
Oh I see, The writer has a vision of what she thinks all Christians should be like, she has a prejudiced view, and makes sure she points out the negative. How many articles has she written about the 'peaceful' religion of Islam and shown the negatives. I am guessing none.
For our own sake, I'd like to hope that could change. Maybe we could start with a nondenominational Miss America pageant.
We can force homosexuality and liberal views down your throat, but don't you dare talk about Jesus!

Did they not think that their non-Christian colleagues or the Jewish, Buddhist, Muslim, agnostic, or atheist members of the television audience might be offended at the presumption that to be part of this game, one had to be Christian? Clearly not. Well good, I would hope not. It seems only Christians are somehow obligated to "stop and think" before they speak these days. Why should that be?

i always wonder that out of the pool of women that actually compete in these contest...how many are black, asian, jewish, muslim or any other historically "oppressed" group you can dredge up?....these pageants are overwhelmingly a "white" thing is my hunch. The only answer i know is let theEEOC get involved with the judging panel and the problem is solved....hence affirmative action.

Christine....baby....get a grip and get over it. Well Said. If she were that ticked off at the idiots who ran the city and destroyed it maybe someone there would wake up. Instead she attacks a bunch of christians on a tv show she could have easily turned off.

Its amazing how liberals define everything by race, religion, and sex. Bigger bigots on this planet you will not find.

Good thing they didn't ask her about thongs.
Nevertheless, the author seems to be proving Rush's undeniable truth about feminists.

I think this is the same Christine Craft who filed an age discrimination lawsuit when she was let go by a television news station a few years ago. A very bitter and unhappy woman it seems.

Maybe we could start with a nondenominational Miss America pageant. An agnostic or atheist contestant who is drop-dead gorgeous, not enhanced by plastic, bright, quick- witted and actually talented would be chosen as the "it" girl. When she wins, tiara gleaming, she thanks good genes and her lucky stars. Or we could hold next year's pageant in Dearborn, Michigan (I'm sure Ford Motor Company will be happy to provide a new red Mustang convertible to the winner and runner up). The swimsuit competition would have to go (can't offend the locals). But, never mind, it is "inner beauty" that really counts.
Won't Chris Craft shep nachas when the burqa-clad beauty queen praises Allah!

(I'm sure Ford Motor Company will be happy to provide a new red Mustang convertible to the winner and runner up) Well, I guess I will be sporting a dress and trying to win then! I think I might look good in one....(my pic is on the profile page, you be the judge!)

so Christine wraps her diatribe against Christianity..and denominations in general....with "
Now that would really be something to praise!" praise to whom, Christine?
Is she one of the interesting people who spend Thanksgiving saying they are "thankful" for family, friends, diversity, freedom, blah, blah, blah....but never indicate to whom they are "thankful"?
this may be an early-morning-not-enough-coffee rant....but I have a few friends who are like that at Thanksgiving....I don't get it. I've tried asking to whom they're directing their 'thanks', but never get much of an answer.

So she's no longer young and "chirpy" enough to be a news bimbo, and now she's got to take it out on the (young, beautiful) contestants

What really bothers the liberals is that Condi is a conservative. That's the real objection here.

What really bothers libs is that Condi is NOT a token. Tokens and tokenism the left can understand; Condi, they can't understand.

Didn't you know? All Christians should ascribe to themselves the attitude of "American Gothic."
Christians don't believe in Sex. Christians don't like Rock 'n' Roll. Christians are, all in all, exceedingly dull people.
Any evidence to the contrary is a sure sign of hypocrisy (on the Christian's part, of course).
Thus, I am a hypocrite. C'est le vie.

Now if they had been using the name of Jesus and God as a curse for having lost.....now that would have been a story...
Maybe if they woulda blown up some buildings or children in their anger over having been ripped off because of their skin color or religion ..that woulda been a story...
Nope they have starved themselves for their contest....and now good losers...decent girls have some donuts and pizza (would they have eaten shrimp lobster steak burgers or salad had they been placed before them? probably)
And then they went and confessed that they believed Jesus had something else in mind for them other than a beuty contest?
Well Amen to that and God Bless them....
funny how when picking on nice Christian kids there really isnt very much to complain about....
What a putz
To: chance33_98
Actually, if she praised Allah you guys would be writing your own news articles in condemnation.
Or imagine her going on about new age moon beams. You'd be laughing your a**es off.
