Well, not quite.

Here's an update (which I posted on another thread):

I've decided to go for a notebook puter. Time for an upgrade, anyway. A relative of mine has a Vaio -- though I'm not sure. A knowledgable freeper warned me that service/repair feature for Vaio is crappy.

As for this jalopy I'm using, it's the same ol' jalopy ... hehe ..When I hit the power button, the fan -- dead (doesn't spin). But I've notice that giving it a little kick-start (with a pen) gets it cranking. Don't know if it's spinning at normal RPM, though (not much air blowing out).

Anyway, I'll be around unless -- or until -- this thing burns up ... hehe.

Since we're gearing up for the war with Iraq, President Bush should have Mr Rumsfeld issue a permanent forward basing assignment for the 44 B1-B bombers based in Rapid City, SD to Guam or Diego Garcia.

I think I read somewhere that's what the exact plan is.... I think Diego Garcia... is DG under British control? If so, then that's the place....

Then how did they manage to get a 4.1% pay raise for 2003, with inflation nearly nonexistent? And how do they manage to get the best pension system known to man - outside of upper corporate management and Congress?
