"THE PRESIDENT SHOULD WORRY MORE ABOUT HIS COUNTRY AND LESS ABOUT HIS POLLSTERS"-Tom Daschle 9/26/02
Fred Francis - MSNBC | 9/26/02 | Wait4Truth

Posted on 09/26/2002 11:31:37 AM PDT by Wait4Truth

This is a Daschle comment from this morning quoted by Fred Francis of MSNBC. Daschle was commenting about how the President has not gone far enough in being conciliatory to the Democrats. Daschle is now saying that because of the lack of trust they feel, they may not pass Homeland Security or an Iraq resolution prior to going home to campaign. Your comments are welcome. Hopefully, you will all fight back. This comment was particularly beyond the pale, don't you think? This is war, folks. Our President is being savaged and undermined during a time of war. They are now also asking the question, "Are you better off than you were two years ago?" This garbage must not stand!

Call every RAT officeholder you know

Here's the thing: we NEVER call when we're satisfied; we NEED to call our represenatives and tell them WE support Bush and his war on terrorism.

You can believe the American haters are calling. Dianne Feinstein said her calls are running 10,000 to 1 against the war.

Ask yourself if that reflects what you are hearing in your real life.

We need to start doing what they do............CALL ALL THE TIME.

Text of a letter to Gateway:

To Whom This May Concern:

Just wanted to let you know that I was getting ready to buy a Gateway, until I remembered you all make those things in South Dakota, home of the extremist liberal Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle. Then I decided I’d better buy a Dell made right here in good old All-American Texas.

You people need to find a way to get rid of that man. Electing John Thune would be a good start. I certainly won’t buy anything made in S.D. until the radical extremist liberals are out of power there. The country can’t afford them any more. You guys can’t either.

Sincerely,

"Johnb838"

I would like to see this ad run in South Dakota, with a true plea to the people of South Dakota to get a clue to what this man is doing to the rest of us.

"I am so angry I am almost beyond words."

Keep focusing that anger towards those responsible and the RATS will cower before our Righteous Onslaught in November!!

Ron Fournier did it first; Moran picked it up, like a parrot.

Even the Toricelli supporters in the audience burst out laughing....it just couldn't be helped.

That moment is now memorialized in an ad for Forrester!!!

And that sourgrape Campbell Brown . . .

Her question, repeatedly endlessly, was ridiculous.

NOTE TO CAMPBELL: There can be evidence that al-Qaeda is operating in Iraq, but not yet evidence that al-Qaeda is operating in concert with Saddam Hussein.

I wonder if these reporters ever read their own transcripts. Yikes.

I wonder if he had a team of his crack researchers scanning the papers and airwaves...

Last night on Nightline, the host pointed out that Bush had made the exact same charge against the Dems nine times prior to the one Daschle selected for his rant.

Why don't you send this thread to Brit Hume and O'Reilly? It needs to be top-o-the-hour story.

It would be really sweet to take that Jersey senate seat. From the polls I've seen it looks like a real possibility.

Feinstein is lying... no way calls are running against military action in Iraq.

The RATS are bluffing and playing a very dangerous game.

If they were to adjourn without completing homeland security and Iraq resolution, Bush can call them back. That's the one move they cannot afford, because it highlights their greatest weakness: obstruction of the president's agenda.

I seriously think Daschle's position is in jeopardy, and there is more here than meets the eye.

Can we bronze this damned thing and send it over to Daschle for his behavior in the last 48 hours??

Exactly!

On 9/18/2002 my daughter had her Letter to the Editor published in The Daily Oklahoman that was chosen from Letters to the Editor of her Journalism class. It is even more appropriate now:

Putting America first TO THE EDITOR: "Missing the Point; Homeland Security Debate Off Track" (editorial, Sept. 5) brought out some interesting points about which all Americans should be concerned. Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle is now on record putting organized labor, hiring and firing practices and micro- management of the Homeland Security Department over what many consider is best for the citizens of the United States.

The department was proposed to protect the people and their property from terrorist attacks, not to protect unionized federal workers who contribute large amounts to the Democrat Party. To tie the president's hands on something this important is wrong.

It's past time for the Democrats, including Sen. Joseph Lieberman and others, to put America's security first and pass the House of Representative's version of the Homeland Security bill. In November's general election, the citizens of Oklahoma and the U.S. will know who puts America first and who puts union labor first.
Heather C., Norman

Now if my 18 year old daughter understands it, then I would assume that a lot of Americans understand the DemocRATs are not to be trusted! Welcome to NewsOK.com
