What scares me here is the statement that she bears a striking resembelance to Andre.

He was fun to watch, but he wasn't exactly attractive, to say the least.

Hulk Hogan as a "Great" wrestler. Now that's funny.

Andre was great in one of my favorite movies, "Princess Bride"

I had the honor of meeting Andre at a charity softball game about 25 years ago. Until you see someone like him in the flesh you cannot fathom the sheer size of the man. My head came to the middle of his chest. His pinky was bigger than my thumb. When he shook my hand, mine disappeared in his. When he held a bat, it looked like a twig.

What I’ll remember the most was a soft-spoken, gracious, engaging man . . . not at all what I expected.

Andre was really about 6 ft 10 inches tall. Paul "Big Show " Wight is about the same size. Wrestling is the only "sport" I can think of that beats professional basketball at exagerrating the size of the athletes.

Andre was fun to watch before his disease left him nearly crippled. Hogan was far too formualic in the ring and his character was too one dimensional.

Steve Austin was a pretty good worker, was pretty good on the mic and had a very good grasp of the psychology of building a good match. I'd take Austin over anyone as the most entertaining wrestler ever.

Kurt Angle may someday outdo him.

My favorite episode of The Six Million Dollar
Man was the one where Col. Steve Austin met
Bigfoot aka Andre T Giant. Truly a larger
than life persona.

You have not seen bizarre unless you saw the boxing/wrestling doubleheader where Andre the Giant matched up against Chuck Wepner "The Bayonne Bleeder". Mohammad Ali then tangled with a japanese wrestler in Tokyo.

Chuck Barris would have been proud...

Andre was terrific in "The Princess Bride". He had some of the funniest lines in the movie.

More about Andre

What? The Nature Boy Ric Flair is the greatest wrestler of all time. He could carry anyone to a great match, the showboating, the hyper activity (I thought he was going to blow a blood vessel in his neck during every interview). And The Hair.

I saw Andre at an airport not long before he died. The man was HUGE! He was so big that he couldn't fit into the seats in the waiting area near the gate. He has to put his briefcase on the seat and sit on it; otherwise, he couldn't get between the arms of the chair.
