For the pro-abortionist, a mole growing on ones arm is the same as a baby growing in a womb. That's why they use the idiotic "it's a woman's body" argument.

Pro-life ping.
I saw part of the Ireland appearance. Much of what she said seemed directly tied to the pro-life persuasion curriculum developed by Stand to Reason.
Most notably, she drew from this common STR introduction to the topic:
"If you're washing dishes and your child comes up behind you and says 'mommy, can I kill this?' what is your first question? --- Certainly your first question is 'What is _IT_?" Ireland made a similar comment in the appearance.
She also used the common STR comment, which is "If the fetus is not a human being, then no justification is necessary for abortion. If the fetus is indeed a human being, than no justification is sufficient."
I highly recommend purchase of the STR tapes and other material. Visit their website at
http://www.str.org
I have no affiliation with STR other than being a customer and donor to their cause.

Thanks. Very interesting. I'll check it out.

Terrific article with a great line ping.

Terrific article, indeed! I missed both of these interviews.
I had *heard* Patricia Heaton was a republican, and I had heard the story about how the cast of her show were making "Dubya is dumb" jokes during election 2000 and that she finally spoke up and said she was a supporter of his.
Now it looks like she's on a book tour and proclaiming her views for all to hear.
Excellent Ireland excerpts, too!

This line ROCKS !
HEATON: Yes, I've thought about it. On a personal level, as a Christian, it will not be Barbra Streisand I'm standing in front of when I have to make an accounting of my life.
I've gained a new respect for this woman.

Please provide a source that says Mulgrew is pro-life. I don't believe it, and recall reading somewhere (freerepublic?) that she was a lib and related to a very liberal person that was running for Congress or other political office. For some reason it sticks in my mind that she was VERY LIBERAL and may have specifically mentioned being pro-abortion. If I am wrong - let me know by providing a source.
As for Kathy Ireland, ya gotta love her if for only her last name! I have to say I am surprised to find that she is pro-life, but God bless her for it. And for Colmes to get his ass kicked by her, is just too much. I was never impressed by Colmes, he should go back to whatever hole he came from.

I wish most pro-life politicans were as good at responding to these questions as Ireland. Can STR do something about that. I heard Bill Simon on the radio and he was awful on that subject.

Kate Mulgew's husband, Tim Hagan, is running to become Governor of Ohio, and I doubt that she is pro-life and he is pro-abortion, cause that would be big news.
Here are a couple of articles about him:
http://governing.com/gov2002/ohio.htm
"Despite the narrowing gap in the polls, Hagan still comes off as a long shot because of his liberal stance on issues such as abortion, gay civil unions, the death penalty...."
&
http://www.cincypost.com/2001/jun/02/ludlow060201.html
"Hagan is an old-school, no-apologies-offered Democrat, a liberal who opposes the death penalty, supports a woman's right to abortion and dislikes term limits."
So, until proof is offered otherwise, I classify Kate Mulgrew as Pro-abortion, and NOT PRO-LIFE.

I did some checking and found one thing (a posting on Dem underground!)that said Jack Nicholson said in an interview that he was pro-life because his mom almost aborted him - but it did not give a source. I did find this though, which qualifies him as an enemy in my book:
"...I'm a big Clinton supporter. I think he understands the mechanics of the job better than anyone who has ever held the position, and that's really what I want."

Ireland's challenge to Colmes to prove that an unborn child isn't a human is a good one. I think that was the strongest line. Good for her.

(Ship as many of those eggs to me and I'll get them incubated. I'd love to add some Canadian geese to my flock)

These people are no different than the unknown shooter running around in the DC area. No one has a right to cut someone up into pieces.

On a personal level, as a Christian, it will not be Barbra Streisand I'm standing in front of when I have to make an accounting of my life.I think Barbra would take issue with that. I think she thinks she is God! LOL
God bless Kathy and Patricia! I already bought Kathy's book; think I'll start watching "Everybody Loves Raymond." It's nice to know there are a few Hollywood celebrities I can actually admire and support.
