I'm sure you all can comment on Tenet giving info that could support the anti-war effort.
However, the interesting thing here is that Bobby "KKK" Byrd is going to push this vote into late next week.
I can just hear Dems going crazy, because that's one less week they can get into "kitchen table" issues. So long as the spotlight is on Iraq their chances dwindle.

"
Sen. Robert Byrd, D-W.Va., served notice on other Democrats at a party luncheon that he intended to use parliamentary tactics to delay a final vote, according to those who attended the session."
Strategically [electionwise] this is good news for us.
The more this drags out....the less time the Liberoonies have to attack the President on the economy or murdering old folks.
Let General Arafat/Bird ramble on incoherently for another week or even two...its only good for us. We want him on the National News every night...every screenshot of Bird on National television is gold...and if we can get sound bites out of him...all the better.

Old Bobby is just embarrassed that our country is represented by an integrated army.
"Rather I should die a thousand times and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds!"
- Democratic Conscience of the Senate Robert C. Byrd, regarding the racial integration of the army.

Bingo. If the $500M Robert Byrd Homeland Security Center were proposed to be located in WV, he'd be onboard like flies on *&^%.

Coop - Is it possible that the Dems are the ones self destructing right before the election rather than the Pubbies? Quite a turnabout.
What do you think the midwest Dem Senators in tight races think about extending this debate till the end of next week, leaving them only 2 1/2 weeks to get Iraq off the front pages? Wouldn't you love to be a fly on the wall? I'll bet ol' Bobby Byrd's ears are ringing about now.

I'm tellin ya we all need to freep Bird's office and tell him "Dont back down. We need more true Americans like you" etc, etc. Please contact Senator Byrd, and urge him to stop this reckless plunge into war. His office number is (202) 224-3904. Call until November 4th, until he croaks from the filibuster, or until Republicans lead in the New Jersey, Minnesota, Missouri, and Georgia Senate races, whichever comes first. :-)

If any Americans die because of Byrd's delaying tactics, he should be hung. I mean this literally.
However, even the Dems must be mad at him. Byrd cannot stop the inevitable, but he helps the Pubbies with every delay he creates.
The Dems cannot pursue their usual demonization of Republicans while attention is focused on Iraq. Worse (from the Dem perspective), if ANY attack against our homeland succeeds, the public has seen enough already to put the Dems first in line to take the blame.
In this game, "You gotta know know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em..."
As I recall: If, after the first hour, you don't know who the patsy is, it's YOU. Anyone wanna bet on who's the patsy?

From a raw political standpoint, Byrd's antics are pretty, pretty, pretty in my eyes.

Read the links post that I'm going to provide. It is post #38 you need to look at.
Notice how it mentions the al Queda Iraq link. Saddam Hussein is up to his nose in al Queda. We need to get this stuff out there every single time to refute the Sen "Byrds" and cowardly pacifists we are facing. The evidence is OVERWHELMING..
read on....

And hasn't Tenet's CIA been the source of leaks deflating a lot of the allegations of people in the administration (like about the Atta-Iraqi meeting in Prague)?
To: frmrda
Tenet - an absolute, bumbling incompetent.
TENET: "There's no way the CIA could have penetrated Al-Qaeda. It would be impossible to place an American agent in the ranks of Islamist jihad organizations."
JOHN WALKER: "So I gave this Paki businessman a handjob and he introduced me to a Taliban preacher. Two months later I was shaking hands with Osama bin Laden."
TENET: "Ummm . . . ah . . . "
