BREAKING: One more shooting in DC area

FOXNEWS just reported that another shooting has happened in the DC area (Prince George?). A man was shot an killed at a gas station.

The guy detained/in custody and his 4 weapons were all rifles no?

Ashley Banfield just reported a single shot killed a white male pumping gas at a Sunoco station. Witnesses reported seeing a white van with two males....police now questioning witnesses!

"a thief in the night". Whomever the bastard(s) is/are, what better lesson can the country learn from the tragic assassinations(overwhelming majority) of these individuals aside than that they occurred in the highest disarmed population in the continental US?

When will it come to you, Trenton, Chicago, Miami, LA, Boston, Portland, St. Louis, Tulsa, SanDiego, Providence,..etc....? Hmmmm....shame on us for not overtly asserting security in our own vicinities, particularly asserting our right to self defense.

• Post two riflemen at every school, busstop, corner.
• A sniper could take one, but the other might get the sniper.

I did hear on Channel 8 that police had pulled over the white van. I heard that about 10 minutes or more ago.

We live 20 minutes away. My husband was off today and we took our little toddlers to the park. I noticed a lot of sirens. A man at the park mentioned it to me - said his boys were there playing because they had cancelled football practice.

My husband thinks I've been paranoid the last few days with telling him to be careful at gas stations, etc. And to try not to make himself a target by lingering. I've been walking in and out of stores quicker. Was out by myself tonight shopping.

Sigh. I want this to end. So sick of it. As if there weren't enough stress making a living in these ridiculous suburbs.

Joe I wouldn't eliminate this close range shotgun shooting if robbery or drive by gang banging are not involved. The killer(s) might have changed tactics as sniper nest locations are shut down by the police. I really don't think this Sicko can go more than a few days without killing.

Channel 8 mentioned that witnesses were taken away by the police for questioning and that the 2 men in the white van are white.

Yes,The shots have been from a .223 or other high powered rifle..Have not heard any other info on gun used tonight..

Posted this on other thread. Rt 234 completely blocked off -- it's 5 seconds from Rt 66. I

I thought I would through this into the mix. There is a Michaels on 234 right off Route 66. I know that because I posted this yesterday.

I have been thinking about this as well. Keep in mind that after the Thursday spree and all the police activity, he/they went South into Virginia on Friday. The shooting there wasn't until 2:30pm, which may indicate he/they drove down on Friday morning. I have a pit in my stomach as we enter the afternoon. With all the activity since yesterday, it may be he/they are out of town this morning. If he/they are looking for a new direction, Route 66 to the West is a possibility. I really hope I am wrong

One more thing. I have not been one who has had any strong feelings about the "Michaels" connection but I will point out that there are three "Michaels" stores right off Route 66 going West. They are in Fairfax, near Centreville and in Manassas.

WMAL reporting Virginia State police are looking for two white men in a white vehicle, possibly a 4x4 pickup. Victim shot in the head while pumping gas about 8:15. No reason to believe shooting is related at this point.
