Washington sniper vanishes after signature hits

US police have said they do not want to the muddy waters of an investigation into a sniper who has killed eight people and wounded two by releasing an inaccurate sketch, amid reports the meticulous killer circling the nation's capital has been sighted.

Montgomery County Police Chief Charles Moose was asked to comment on reports that the sniper who has electrified the Washington area has been spotted, and police are working on a composite sketch.

Chief Moose, struggling for the right words, said he did not want to "muddy the waters" by releasing an image to the media too soon.

"Please rest assured that when we have something where we are sure that the media can help us we will use that," Moose said.

"The concern is that we pollute the whole thought process, we cause people to have tunnel vision, think they see what they heard on TV and mix that up with reality."

The power of the media has taken center stage in the hunt for the shooter - or shooters, who has used a high-velocity rifle to slam a single bullet into 10 victims since October 2, eluding the largest federal, state and local manhunt in the history of the Washington region.

Chief Moose released a composite image of an older model, mid-sized commercial truck, with light damage to its right rear bumper and black lettering -- a row of large black block letters above a row of smaller letters, on each side.

Chief Moose said the white truck, which has a roll-up door at the rear, was seen at more than one of the shootings by more than one witness and he asked the media to distribute it widely.

He declined to discuss any of the witnesses further.

"None of the witnesses have been able to give us the exact wording" on the truck or its license plate number, Chief Moose said at a news briefing.

The chief said the image is generating new leads.

"Maybe he has had this vehicle repaired," he said, calling on mechanics and body shop workers to think back.

Investigators are working on a sketch of a second vehicle, described as a white Chevrolet Astro van, seen near the latest shooting on Friday, Chief Moose said.

"We're working with a sense of urgency" to get that photo to the public, he said.

Physical evidence has been scant, with one taunting clue apparently left by the shooter near where a 13-year-old victim was shot - a tarot "death" card with the words "dear Mr Policeman, I am God" scrawled on the back.

The cold, methodical killer, who picks off random victims while concealed in a sniper's nest at a comfortable distance, claimed his 10th victim and eighth fatality on Friday.

Kenneth Bridges, 53, a businessman and father of six on the road from Philadelphia, was killed on Friday at an Exxon gasoline station near a busy interstate highway in Virginia.

You know, I haven't thought of that! It's been a long time since I'd seen pictures or examples of what some cards looked like. But that's weird, like creepy, isn't it? I'm going to have to review what I'd learned about the Tarot. A few things I remember; but like I said, it's been awhile.

as soon as I heard the word "crusader" was on the tarot card, that's immediately what I thought of.....it was a grisly time period for arabs.

Here's some info on the Crusades from this web site (http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/04543c.htm)

The Crusades were expeditions undertaken, in fulfilment of a solemn vow, to deliver the Holy Places from Mohammedan tyranny.

The origin of the word may be traced to the cross made of cloth and worn as a badge on the outer garment of those who took part in these enterprises. Medieval writers use the terms crux (pro cruce transmarina, Charter of 1284, cited by Du Cange s.v. crux), croisement (Joinville), croiserie (Monstrelet), etc. Since the Middle Ages the meaning of the word crusade has been extended to include all wars undertaken in pursuance of a vow, and directed against infidels, i.e. against Mohammedans, pagans, heretics, or those under the ban of excommunication. The wars waged by the Spaniards against the Moors constituted a continual crusade from the eleventh to the sixteenth century; in the north of Europe crusades were organized against the Prussians and Lithuanians; the extermination of the Albigensian heresy was due to a crusade, and, in the thirteenth century the popes preached crusades against John Lackland and Frederick II. But modern literature has abused the word by applying it to all wars of a religious character, as, for instance, the expedition of Heraclius against the Persians in the seventh century and the conquest of Saxony by Charlemagne.

The idea of the crusade corresponds to a political conception which was realized in Christendom only from the eleventh to the fifteenth century; this supposes a union of all peoples and sovereigns under the direction of the popes. All crusades were announced by preaching. After pronouncing a solemn vow, each warrior received a cross from the hands of the pope or his legates, and was thenceforth considered a soldier of the Church. Crusaders were also granted indulgences and temporal privileges, such as exemption from civil jurisdiction, inviolability of persons or lands, etc. Of all these wars undertaken in the name of Christendom, the most important were the Eastern Crusades, which are the only ones treated in this article.

If this is a plausible theory, then the terrorists are applying, in reverse, the Crusades against them towards us. What do you think about this idea?

I'll have to look at that. While I've studied European and some church history, I'll admit I hadn't looked at the different Crusades. But this is really intriguing! I'll have to read on that page, and get back to your question! But so far, you may have something.

I have for awhile sensed that they are doing the same thing in reverse that we (descendants to Crusaders) sought to do. They seem to be trying to take over the world, convert us to Islam(by force, if they have to), which is essentially what we sought to do to them. They seem to be wanting revenge, but claiming that they want to win us over to what 'they' believe is the true faith! Creepy!!

I don't believe they will succeed though. They've tried it before; and it didn't work. It's the same thing with Communism, or "The third way", or NWO. If building the 'Tower of Babel' didn't work, the Roman Empire didn't last, Communism didn't succeed in overtaking the whole earth, these won't either. Why? Because something, someone always stopped them!

Oh, they'll keep trying, they'll cause murder and mayhem on the way. But God himself has always said he'll not let the 'gates of hell' prevail against his true faith. I don't believe he'll allow a rival. He won't let anyone take over the whole earth for themselves. He'll let them get so far, then confound them, stop them somehow!

This is my theory

#1 There are 2 moslems working together.(simple deduction:Occums Razor, we are at war)

#2 A shooter is laying in the the prone shooting position in the back of a covered pick up truck. Shooting thru a peephole in the tailgate.

#3 The other guy is the calm getaway driver and lookout.

#4 They always park the truck with the bed facing the target. Its not camper type cover, that would draw attention from the cops. They are looking for a van.

#5 The lookout gets out of the vehicle and not only watches the surrounding area. But tells the shooter when its clear to pull the trigger via cell phone.

#6 The bed of the truck has a flat canopy. It is well insulated to keep the sound at a mininum. The direction of the suppressed sound is difficult to pinpoint.

#7 After the shoot, the driver calmly goes back to the truck and obeying the all traffic laws drive away while listening to the police chatter on scanners.

explanation: This is how I would do it, if I were a bad guy.

All of the rats are such scary people. Without the media and their pc sheeple, we would label them as criminals or as the criminally insane and lock them up for their crimes.

Thanks to their voting cults and their mediot pals, they become senators/congressits/governors and state office holders. It is really scary.

ABCNNBCBS and the left wing fish wraps work 24/7 to make the abnormal behavior of the left wingers in Politics appear to be the normal behavior. Like everyone does it during the Monica licker episodes.

You are right.

Sometimes some of the old definitions are really usual.

Brainwashing is really appropriate in this case.
