CNN Headline News is reporting that a woman has been shot near a Home Depot in Falls Church, VA, and that authorities are investigating whether this is another sniper attack.

At this late hour, my thinking cap is toast for the night. I know there are at least 200 cells and I suppose the size of each cell can vary. It depends what part of the country you're in. What I'd like to know about is all the Iraqi's who were moved out of Iraq after the Gulf War to Oklahoma. Did they assimilate into our culture or did they start a big fat cell in Oklahoma?

Michigan and Minnesota both have cells because they came down from Canada.

If Coleman would bring up terrorism, he'd have a better chance at winning against Wellstone but I guess Minnesotans are for the status quo and they don't want to go to war with Iraq. Gee, maybe that's because they are muslims who are voting for Wellstone who voted against the Iraq Resolution. Wellstone has some new constituents and they could be from cells. I don't know if anybody here has ever listed all of the cells but I did see a map of the USA with the cells pinpointed. It's pretty scary stuff. We are occupied from within.

I'm almost ashamed to admit I would prefer it to be AQ. At least as you surmised , it would galvanzie folks whether the media or our politicians desire that or not.

If it's Joe Looneytunes then we can expect serious anti-RKBA coming down the pike big time.....which is a major major issue for me and the gun grabbing Dems will beat conservatives over the head with this ad nauseum. If only they would see that "if guns are outlawed, only outlaws will own guns"...gun grabbing won't stop nuts like this from having them and using them.

I'm not a "gun person" but I do truly believe every law-abiding person should know how to operate one, if not have one him/herself. I don't have one (did at one time...) but I have used them on several occasions at the target range. When my kids are old enough, they will too. At some point they/we may need to use one for defense and I want them prepared...and I want to be able to get one if I feel the need to own one.

No disrespect intended towards the victims or their families by my realpolitik musing is intended. Foremost, I want justice/retribution for the victims.

Same here...and as I've said before, this is war. Whether it's a domestic nut or an AQ nut, these events shape our country. Let's hope this takes us in the right direction, and ends soon!

I freely admit little knowledge of these guns, but, except for the gas station attacks, were it would seem that you would be stationary while pumping gas, hitting a moving target(A kid walking into a school, shooting a woman at night putting packages in her car) are they not at least a little harder a target to hit?

You know, maybe they wanted all cell phones shut down in case there was a chance any bombs would be set off by cell phone. They could call in an explosion. The LE is being extra cautious.

I think this is terrorism and the cops know it but they don't want to scare us. Guess what? We're already scared but I'm going to tough it out. Of course, I'm not up there but we all feel this. Every time.

You know, I do a lot of genealogy, and from my own family I can tell you it takes a couple of generations at least to become assimilated, and that's when people want to be assimilated. Moslems don't want to assimilate, certainly not after only 10 or so years in the country. It wouldn't even be possible to assimilate so quickly coming from such a vastly foreign culture.
