We'll have 2 or 3 gov't employee strikes when Lingle is elected.

Not to be morbid, but this is an important election.
Sen. Inouye, the 78-year-old patriarch of the state's Democratic Party
An aged Democrat Senator, one who is not likely to retire but rather be carried out of the Senate after expiring.

Sure would be nice to have a Republican Governor in place, in case a Coverdell situation occurs.

A friend of mine is running for the special election in January 2003 for Mink's seat which will be held if Mink "wins". He has a decent chance of winning the primary, but given the fact that Hawaii is perhaps the most Democrat state in the country his chances for winning the seat outright are slim indeed particularly so since the Democrap nominee is likely to be a former state governor.
