I'm sorry, tomkat. Hadn't punched into the daily thing before. NOW, I'm out the door.

I believe there will be no more killings. The terrorists have accomplished their goal -- for now. The only thing to do now is to create even more terror is to fade back into mainstream society without getting caught.

It may seem unlikely right now, but within 30 days, this will largely be forgotten, outside of the DC area. The government/media will be on to something else (How about those SF Giants, not to mention Iraq) and they will claim that 'we may never know who did this'. They may even state that it was likely that the lone nut committed suicide but that there one day may be copycat killers.

This is all a spin away from the truth. It is clearly muslim terrorists. Do not hope for the truth from our government on this. Do not crave the truth. It will not happen. Just hope for action, like deportation. It will not happen soon, it will need to get much worse for action to take place. More people will need to die.

But if they stop now, I will wonder if their object all along was to kill FBI intelligence analyst Linda Franklin -- the only victim specifically targeted -- and the other killings were cover. One of the articles yesterday said the FBI is tracking money transfers to the terrorists in this country.

At this point any further victims will not so much have been murdered but rather SACRIFICED to the GOD OF POLITICAL CORRECTNESS . . . I am sick of watching our leaders bow before this evil "god" who is now demanding to be honored with human sacrifice . . . Thanks for starting the thread. Had a hard time locating it, since the sniper threads have been moved from the front page, and now is in with classifieds!

Early on with the shootings, people were talking about had people been carrying they could have done something. It was pointed out though that it was unlikely that they could have done anything at all.

However, this latest shooting, had a witness, several in fact, that were close enough to get some kind of a look, and the one guy, close enough to see what type of weapon was used. My question is, could this person have taken a shot at the shooter, or at the least a tire from the vehicle? Is this the first instance in which anyone that had been carrying might have been able to do something?

John Wallsh on saying this will be weird old Uncle Bill (funny choice of name IMHO) who has been collecting rifles for 20 years. Discounts terrorism for the same reasons...not claiming credit, not a big amount of deaths, etc.

I don't mind considering the psycho theory, but someone has to give better reasons that those which are demonstrably untrue!

what i do know is that it's good to see the scales beginning to fall from the eyes of so many re the likely terrorism MO in this.

just too bad it hadn't sunk in a week ago - some folks might still be alive who aren't this morning ...

CBS radio news this morning, said that their "Unnamed Sources Inside The Investigation" swore up and down that it wasn't terrorists, couldn't be terrorists, etc.

I don't know whether this is anti-white-males-with-guns fantasizing on the part of the media, or misdirection by the police, or (God forbid) excessive Political Correctness on the part of the police. At this point, I can't rule out any of those hypotheses. ;-)

Hey, has anyone discussed the idea that maybe the reason the governor banned shooting was cuz the econ plane can detect the heat from a discharged firearm? I just heard on the news that it can detect the heat from a discharged firearm. Banned useage would reduce false alarms.
