The Dark Soul of Feminism: Profound Contempt For Life

October 21, 2002

by Gerald L. Rowles, Ph.D.

Among a group of articles illustrating the dark soul of feminism was this from the Boston Globe, written by Cindy Rodriguez and entitled A decade later, 'Murphy Brown' examples on rise.
Karen Gratiano did the bar scene, wine-tastings, fix-ups, blind dates, even Internet dating. But after a series of failed relationships, and going through dozens of "toads," Gratiano found herself alone at 35.

Marriage could wait, she thought. But having children couldn't. That biological clock was ticking.

So last year, Gratiano bought donor sperm, paid an epidemiologist to inject it into her uterus, and got pregnant. Now, at age 36, she says she has everything she's ever wanted: great job, six-figure salary, her own house, wonderful friends, a supportive family - and now a 61/2-month-old daughter, Stephanie, to complete her life.

Ten years after Vice President Dan Quayle castigated the TV sitcom character Murphy Brown for having a child out of wedlock, single motherhood among 30-something professionals has lost much of its social stigma.

What's more, says Ms Rodriguez, the "anonymously donated sperm" only cost Karen $150 a pop.

Dang, that's less than it costs to adopt a Bengal housecat or a Jack Russell terrier. The promiscuous (?) Gratiano doesn't even have to kiss a "toad" in the process. And she's the princess?

Yep, I'm afraid I am. And there are more like me.

Historically, there have always been women who have supported feminism in its meaning of self sufficient , strong women, who have been alienated from the feminist leadership and its goals. Current feminist leadership is primarily bourgeois in its thinking, valuing the language of consumer choice above the language of human rights. The Women's Liberation Movement started with the language and philosophy of the civil rights movement- it was about obtaining the same RIGHTS for women ( the ERA) as for men. Today, feminism is about CHOICE, which has to do with who has the dollar.

Many women who are pro-woman are alienated from current feminist thought, for this very reason. It has become corrupted and lost its way.

Yes, trying to get them to stop forcing men who have proven they're not the father to pay child support is one of the current battle fronts.

This one is easy. DNA tests cost $400.00 If he's the father, he pays. If he's not, she pays. The technological knife cuts both ways.

All the problems that exist in the current system are logically easy. The overwhelming problem is government corruption and organized crime using the system to steal huge sums from parents, children, and taxpayers. It's the interests of the good fellas that have things all screwed up.

The MAN that will pay for this is the Great White Father in Washington. In other words, WE will pay for this. The govt has replaced the husband in many relationships. The govt provides for food, medical treatment, housing, &tc. Women don't need to get married to provide for their children. WE provide for them.
