Hey, to all Patriots I have marched with before & all who wish us good fortune. Just caught up with you guys & the wonderful news that we will do it again. YEAH! Can't wait. Let's put the 'riot' back in patriot! Since it takes about 2-3 hours to get to SF from here in No. Sonoma, I'm starting early & have learned from other gatherings there that around Van Ness has good parking for disabled & early birds (say 11/11:30ish) if you can walk to City Hall--also helps either not to use the underground parking or to have a bud or 2 to go back there with since the "peaceniks" force us into the uncertain security of the building & it makes getting safely to your car easier.
So proud to stand with you!
G-d be with everyone.

Dear FReepers, please see posts 5, 20, 25. Good ideas from tgslTakoma and nastypumps. (Although clever, Ms. pumps, hopefully, there will be no riot. How 'bout this - PATRIOT - TO PARTI! : ))

17/18 - Any ideas for KIDD?

23 - Happy Birthday blackie! : )

24/27 - Thanks Norm! : )

26 - Thanks for the thought feinswinesuksass. : )

For the FReep - perhaps someone can bring a bullhorn, a camera, music....a sign "Honk for USA!," .....

Please, if some people could e-mail, call our FRiends at KSFO, that would be great. What about Sean Hannity? Hugh Hewitt?

Again, see post 20.

Probably we won't have a permit 'cause nobody's "organizing" this, and I, myself, don't know what's entailed. If anyone wants to find out what's involved please do. (STL tried to find some info, but, it was a little much, so, if there's someone able to help, that would help.) In any event...as far as I know, we still have our First Ammendment right and freedom to assemble....

Oh, also learned from other FReeps - some Lefties may try to "engage in debate." Some people may like that, but, just be aware it is also a tactic to get us to not focus on OUR focus.

Also, the Media may want to interview some people, so think of some good soundbites.

Have fun, STAY SAFE, FReep on! : )

Hi AP - I've spent the last couple of hours doing some e-mailing (Mel, Brian Wilson, some conservative boards etc).

Did we have any police at the last rally? If we have some of S.F.'s finest with us, they could be helpful in turning the leftists who wish to "debate". Last month, when my wife and I were on a street corner in San Anselmo, some of them came up and wanted to engage in debate. So, we got cops over to chase them off. They're always the ones who want to cause trouble and them blame us, so yes, it's a good suggestion to not interact with them. I'm looking forward to this Saturday!

Always chalk up any over-enthused word play of mine to a chronic case of the "cutes"! But, seriously, am thrilled because just spoke to 2 dedicated, intelligent & exp'd counter-protesters from original City Hall & later Market Street events who'll be rejoining us on Sat.

Hi stratman!

Thank you so much! : )

Regarding the police - Yes, they were at the last rally and others. Yes they will tell the other side to back off, BUT, there have been occasions where, in my opinion, things escalated (that didn't have too!), because two opposing groups were not kept apart, and the number of Lefties/Arabs surrounded and overwhelmed our side. So much for OUR rights. This happened at several FReeps/rallies I was at and I don't understand why it was allowed to happen. So, lesson learned... and that is why I emphasize, even though the police are there (and we thank them for doing what they can), we each, are responsible for our own safety.

Look forward to seeing you and everyone, too. : )

Thank you again stratman!

Whoo-who! Brian Wilson on KSFO Radio just made an announcement about our little gathering -

"......hope you have thousands and thousands and thousands of KSFO listeners join you for FUN, FRIVOLITY, AND THE EVENING NEWS!" : ) (Don't know if I got the EXACT quote, but, that was the essence!)

Thanks stratman! Thanks Brian! : )

I wrote this announcement for www.chronwatch.com. It's my first time with this kind of thing, so I hope I did the job right! It's on the site today (10/22) and will be there all week, but not on the main page. Someone has already left an idiotic comment if you feel like taking a peek. Here's the announcement:

West Coast Patriots Rally - Saturday, Oct. 26

By Cinnamon Stillwell Tuesday, October 22, 2002

Come on down to the Civic Center this Saturday, October 26, for the West Coast Patriots Rally! On 10/26 there will be a huge anti-war protest in San Francisco. We plan on having our own rally to counter the peaceniks. Join us Freepers and help protest the protesters! Bring your flags, signs, and patriotism.

The peaceniks will be meeting at Justin Herman Plaza at 11 AM and then marching to the Civic Center for a rally at 1 PM. More information about their plans can be found at either of these two web sites: www.actionsf.org and www.sf.indymedia.org

We expect them to have a much larger crowd, so safety is an issue. The not-so-peaceful “peace” protesters can get violent. For this reason, we're not going to try and go up against their rally, but rather make our own statement and then move on with our signs.

Feel free to get the word out. If you have friends or family members that you think would be interested, bring them with you.

Let's show the people that the lefties aren't the only ones who speak for the Bay Area. Join the West Coast Patriots Rally and make your voice heard!

Here are the details:

Date: Saturday, October 26th, 2002

Time: Noon

Place: City Hall steps, facing the Civic Center Plaza, San Francisco

Transportation: There should be parking available at the Civic Center Parking Garage. You can also take BART to the Civic Center stop or MUNI to the Van Ness stop. There are also buses that run up and down Van Ness Avenue.
