FWIW, ABC national radio news is reporting the sniper may be using a bicycle to get away theory. It seems the media is willing to report just about anything to fill air-time and/or newsprint.

I hadn't thought of looking for him that way - very clever for so early in the morning. It probably isn't THE Brian Wilson at Fox - the address doesn't make sense considering they shoot the show from NY - he'd have quite a commute. Thanks for looking.

Did anyone catch David Bloom's report on the Today show this morning? I thought I heard him saying something about a source reporting that if the shooter doesn't get what he wants (whatever he indicated in his note) that things could get pretty bad around there for a while? Did anyone else catch that report?

Have the media said other calling cards were left at ALL the shooting crime scenes, or are we operating under the assumption it was the school and Ponderosa crime scenes only? If it was all the crime scenes, why did LEO's wait so long in all instances to announce whether shootings were connected?

What concerns me today, is the closing of the schools.

Just today? Or when exactly do they plan on reopening them?

One problem is that just when we need police forces with really competent professionals I think unfortunately too many are staffed especially at command levels with PC types

Over the years tests have been dumbed down and quota systems imposed etc etc

We are paying and going to continue to pay for this folly and it doesn't look like it's going to be corrected or even discussed anytime soon

Same holds true for the fear of profiling at the national level
Despite endangering lives no politician will even go near this issue

Didn't catch the report but heard last night on Fox news there was more info that the LEO's have asked the press NOT to release. If you hear more about this, please report. We were worried last night the note left at the Ponderosa was virtually blackmail of some sort - perhaps that things would worsen if police didn't do what sniper wants.

No. But I guarantee you they didn't shut down all those schools just because some parents asked them to.

Last week a lawyer I know told me that a friend of his is investigating the Fairfax Home Depot shooting.

The husband of the woman saw a man in a vehicle staring at them. He turned to his wife, and said something like, "I wonder what that guy is doing?", turned back, and saw the man shoot his wife from 30-40 yards away.

No description of what the man looked like or the vehicle. I have been waiting for the police to say something about it, and I find it incredible that they have not.

I disagree with the policy of not giving out information about the investigation.
