1977-90 Chevy ChevetteThe best thing you could say about this car is that at least they got the scale right
No, the best thing you could say about this car is that it was capable of turning multiple 360s on light ice. A short wheelbase and rear-wheel drive transmission meant that you could spin to your heart's content. Until you flipped. :-)

Some chevettes were made with 1.8L Isuzu diesels, you talk about something unable to get out of its own way...

Another great thing about the Chevette was how easy it was for a group of 6-8 guys to lift the thing and move it to really weird places. Like, say onto a very steep bridge embankment.
Not that I would know anything about that...

First time I drove my 1977 Chevette in the snow I ended up doing three 360s before hitting a curb!!! I used to have to keep bags of sand in the back of my Chevette during the winter just to get traction.

Sounds like what I do in winter, on ice, with my ATV in 4x4 mode. Haul the handlebars to one side and crunch the throttle... Pure, in-place, non-airborne flat spins! Sustainable until either ya puke or fall off from uncontrollable, exhuberant laughter :-) Yes, it's that much fun!

And it was light enough that if you got stuck in a snow drift, you could lift it out!!
I used one of these to deliver newspapers when I lived in the Texas panhandle. Lots of snow and ice.
I had fun with this car!

We had some chevettes in our state motor pool in Sacramento. On a hot day, you had to turn the AC off to get on the freeway if the ramp had any type of incline.
