Another website shows him having seved in Korea. The marker is in error, either about his DOB or his national service. Either way, RIP to most engaging performer and to a man who served his country (whenever that was).

Alfalfa was shot to death. I heard it personally from "Spanky McFarland" (no kidding) who lived in Dallas up until the time of his death. Small world, ain't it?
A lot of those kids were from Dallas, I believe.
