Democratic Vote Fraud in Wisconsin Gov. Race
NBC Milwaukee Affiliate-WTMJ TV | October 22, 2002 | WTMJ -TV Milwaukee

Posted on 10/22/2002 8:37:20 PM PDT by SteveAustin

WTMJ-TV, the NBC affiliate in Milwaukee tonight aired an undercover investigation at a group home for mentally disabled patients in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where campaign workers for Jim Doyle, democratic candidate for governor were handing out small amounts of money and free food to the residents. They then were herded upstairs into a separate room and given absentee ballots to cast their vote for governor. Local reporter, Scott Friedman captured this on camera and broadcast it in an exclusive report tonight on Milwaukee news. The Doyle campaign is not commenting.

Jay Heck, leader of Wisconsin political watchdog group, Common Cause, was stunned at the series of events when he viewed the undercover investigation. Memories of Al Gore campaign workers handing out cigarettes to homeless in Milwaukee, and then taking them to the polls in 2000 immediately came to mind.

We are a supposedly clean state in Wisconsin. Tonights story should be required viewing for all GOP candidates about the shenanigans that are going on. This was amazing, although sadly not surprising.

Amazing, even more amazing is no one will be charged with campaign fraud, and if the RAT wins, he will be said to have ran a great campaign whose message resonated with the voters.

You could tell Friedman was nervous when he was live on camera in the studio tonight describing his story to the anchors.

Amazing thing is that apparently one of Doyles campaign workers was going to give the "mark your ballots for jim doyle" speech on camera, but recognized Friedman and ditched out.

If you live in Wisconsin though you have to see this...there is the 62 year old Doyle poll worker, wearing a big Packers sweatshirt, serving pieces of Danish roll to all these tragically disabled people, and then herding them to the "side room" to cast their ballots.

I was so stunned at the whole thing, I didn't take in the whole first part of the story, where it appeared that the Doyle workers were giving them small amounts of money and running a bingo game for the people.

I do not know how much outrage will come of this, but it is a very sad commentary. The residents of this home had no idea what they are doing or what was going on.

Exploiting retarded people just doesn't go over well, anywhere. This has legs, because of that, the fact that it's organized and deliberate, and it is in your face video. Hardly something that can be scoffed as "everyone does it".

Did any of you see the news report? It just aired on our Milwaukee NBC 10pm news about 30 minutes ago? Wondering what your reaction was.

It would have taken the top billing on any other night of the year, but the sniper developments bumped it to #2.

We are a supposedly clean state in Wisconsin.

Wasn't this state the 'smoke for RAT votes' headquarters during the 2000 election? And isn't this the state were the little college scamps were claiming to have been multiple ballots and allowed to vote dozens of times each.

What am I saying?!? Democrats can never get low enough to get disgusted! LOL.

Cut and paste this into your To: box in your email or the Bcc: field if you want each email to look individual. let the networks know this bias is unacceptable

TalkBack@CNN.com; Reliable@CNN.com; NewsNight@cnn.com; late.edition@cnn.com; InsidePolitics@CNN.com; ConnieChungTonight@CNN.com; Dateline@nbc.com; MTP@nbc.com; today@nbc.com; lauren.kapp@abc.com

My letter:
The last few weeks have had several stories about voter fraud, but I haven't seen any specials on your program about it. Why? This has nationwide ramifications.

You've had: Double voting in New York and Florida
Illegal voters crossing into Wisconsin
A report from WTMJ in Wisconsin showing mentally
handicapped people being bribed to vote.
Illegal voting on the indian reservations of South Dakota

In the 2000 elections, your programs made a great fuss about the "disenfranchisement" of the people, but now you are letting these stories just pass as though they were of no great worry. Several states in the 2000 election were decided by less than 1,000 votes. These stories show that the American people are having their will diluted and perhaps overturned by voter fraud.

Because most of this voter fraud seems to favor the Democrats, I can only infer your silence as confirmation of "bias" that has been the topic of so many recent books.

Please look into this more closely to see how widespread this is.

So Jim Doyle is the "sitting" Attorney General??

How embarassing is that?? Who's going to arrest the AG - certainly not Jim Doyle!!

Rush will have a field day with this tomorrow.

In fact, Rush has been saying the dems are so desperate to hold onto their power - they will do "whatever it takes" to get elected.

You know what else I've been noticing lately? The local stations are not following the lead of the networks.

That's not the half of it. Felony charges have been flying right and left (literally) through the top eschalon of the State Senate and Assembly stemming from charges that campaign work was done on state time. It's been documented that Doyle has done the same thing multiple times over (as did one of the DA's - a Dem - that brought the charges against the Repubs) but you don't hear word one about this from the press.

The Democrats are cheating, obliterating the Constitutional rights of voters and the intention and the 'rule' of law. They are totally undermining our Country.

Think the Repubs should be screaming 'halt'. ..and until all is fixed; just hold the elections.

This IS treason at the ballot box and the Demrats are guilty as hell. . .and we should not, that is NOT, be accepting the consequences.

Not that it should be part of your letter but know one has mentioned the 100% voter turnout in the Philly ghettoes and the always well known nursing home voter fraud.

100% turnout, no way in H*LL.

Nursing homes don't even give voters "treats", just tricks -- like filling out the ballots for the poor old people, signing their name and never telling them about it. I have no proof of this one, it's strictly from eyewitness on the scene accounts. It would be hearsay in a court of law.

Dem lawyers will also litigate just enough Senate races to keep control. Remember, the soft money gravy train comes screeching to a halt on Nov 6, and if Dems are out of power everywhere, they will be hurting.

Ignorance Making You Ill? Cure It!

for links, tools, & instructions about how to contact a pile of different people, and how to send a link to this story right here ( or anywhere else ) to a "mass email" using Outlook Express.

Do be advised that since I increased my volume of mass emails to letters to editors I have gotten return volleys of virus attacks- my ISP filters them out before the get to my PC, but if yours does not, take appropriate precautions to guard your PC.

I take this as a positive- my emails are simply links with no editorial content; so the other side must fear & loath the information even reaching the public.

Want to strike back at the malicious & childish clowns who send viri? Look here:

I called WTMJ this morning, and the person who answered said that the TV station usually doesn't put their stories up on their website. www.touchtmj4.com

They did say however they would "talk with their supervisor" about putting this one up. Let's see if it happens.

This story has "legs", it just needs our local Milwaukee talk radio guys, Belling and Sykes to run with it today, then by tomorrow it will hit the national radar screen.

So disappointed your story didn't have a url to copy/paste, that we could send it to other media outlets.

Want a walk down Milwaukee Memory Lane?

(from Election 2000)
By ABC, Brian Ross "Nov. 13 — In Wisconsin, Al Gore leads George W. Bush by about 6,000 votes, but Republicans there have raised the possibility they will charge voter fraud, and Milwaukee’s Democratic district attorney is investigating. Dozens of students at Marquette University in Milwaukee are now openly boasting they voted more than once on Nov. 7.

“I realized it wouldn’t be impossible for me to vote again, so that’s what I did,” said one student who wished to remain nameless despite appearing on camera for World News Tonight. “I ended up voting four times that day for myself.”

It’s not known who got the extra votes, but students say officials did little to prevent it. “Their IDs weren’t being checked, proof of address wasn’t being checked,” said Michael McGraw, an editor for the Tribune campus newspaper, who says a canvass by Tribune reporters found 141 students who admitted to voting more than once — a felony offense. “It kind of struck them, like, ‘felony offense? What are you talking about? I just voted twice, that’s not a big deal.’”

Trading a Smoke for a Vote
Also under investigation are allegations that the Gore campaign used cigarettes to get residents of homeless shelters to vote. “Now that’s a criminal act if it’s proven,” says Milwaukee County District Attorney E. Michael McCann. “It’s bribery.”

The ABC affiliate in Milwaukee caught Gore campaign workers handing out cigarettes to homeless residents after they had been brought to a polling place to vote.

Connie Milstein, a major Gore supporter and the wife of a New York multimillionaire, told the station she had been asked by the Gore campaign to come to Milwaukee.

“Wisconsin is a very key state for the Democratic Party,” explained Milstein. “I’m here representing the Gore-Lieberman campaign.”

The district attorney says there is evidence the Democratic group went to at least three homeless shelters, where residents said cigarettes were used to get them to vote.

Willy Jackson, who is currently staying at the Milwaukee Rescue Mission, voted for the first time. “To sell out for a pack of cigarettes,” he said. “That just don’t seem right.”

Today, outside her Park Avenue home in New York, Milstein said she had done nothing wrong. “I’m an ordinary Park Avenue matron.” She insisted she was in Milwaukee as “an ordinary campaign worker.” Milstein would not say who sent her to Milwaukee, and the Democratic Party maintains she went to the homeless shelters on her own."

http://abcnews.go.com/onair/WorldNewsTonight/wnt001113_Wisconsin_feature.html

Does Milwaukee have the same District Attorney? Maybe you can call his office and ask what happened in the Connie Milstein investigation. Ask if they've received complaints about illegal election activities this time around.

"whatever it takes"

More to the point, their attitude is as follows:
"The liberal elite ideas are far too important to be entrusted to the chance that a democratic election will put the elites in power.
The power to implement these ideas is far too important to rely on the hoi paloi (riffraff) of the general voting populace.
Therefor, any means by which liberals attain and maintain power are "fair". After all, a fixed rule set is so... rigid and closed minded.
"

Did I hit it on the head?

I have a very close relative that happens to work for the state of Wisconsin as a social worker. Her job is to investigate nursing homes in the state to make sure that they everything is ok. (That the facility is up to code, caring for their residents in a humane manner, getting the care they need, etc.)

I think influencing, bribing mentally retarded residents, in the care of these nursing homes borders on abuse, don't you?

I think I will give her a call....
