I don't know why Breslin was ever popular but some people just don't know when to give it up. I guess he had not been invited to the latest cocktail parties by the beautiful people. This should get him back on the list.

It was one thing that Bush was completely disdainful of the World Trade Center. He and his people hate New York. He barely showed for a year.

I seem to recall that Dubya "showed up" at the WTC site the week following the attack and made a rousing speech to the firemen and police ("I hear you...and soon, the whole world will hear us!!")

I thought this senile old fool Breslin had retired a long time ago. Looks like he wrote this column at the bar (around 7 am, when he showed up at it).

What, then, was George Bush doing in Atlanta, Daytona Beach, Fla., Rochester, Minn., Downingtown, Pa., Bangor, Maine, and other such places where he makes these cheap campaign tours?

Dear Feckless Liberal:

He is trying to take back the Senate from those who would coddle terrorists, protect the miscreants in our society (on the basis that we "created" them) and who have blocked every attempt by his administration to protect and defend these United States.

I am not sure why you think Mr. Bush staying in Washington is somehow "appropriate." Have you ever heard of the Federal System? Division of powers?

The sniper attacks have taken place within several states, and those state and local authorities are on the case. In fact, it looks as though they may have captured the killer(s), who are identified with those same terrorist threat vectors who the Democrats in the Senate have done everything to try to aid and abet.

So here we are once again, back at the reason for Mr. Bush's "cheap" campaign stops (BTW: Mr. Clinton spent over half his time in office campaigning. Did you write a similar criticism of him?)

I for one am GLAD the Mr. Bush is doing all he can to defeat the Democrats and take back the Senate. That is, and should be, his number one concern.

It was one thing that Bush was completely disdainful of the World Trade Center. He and his people hate New York. He barely showed for a year. And they blew the attack. They blew it because any threats to New York weren't of such vital interest. New York is filled with blacks and Jews and all kinds of Hispanics and Asians who don't vote right. We don't bother with them during an election, then why stop everything and concentrate on some threat to the place?

Now we find out that Bush doesn't even like Washington. The reason is that nobody in the shooting area, in Montgomery County towns, voted for him.

This is beyond the pale for even a Liberal Democrat but I bet they are loving it.

This goes a bit beyond the pale, even for a liberal! Shame on him. And shame on anyone who believes him.

Is this a roundabout way of saying he wishes our President would be the next one to get shot ?

Ashcroft could have had National Guard troops from two states, Maryland and Virginia, around schools. In New York, we had National Guard troopers on the streets at both the Williamsburg and Queensboro bridges. Putting them at schools is more like it.

My God, this bucket of ---- is clueless.

Want to fault someone for not calling out the Guard?

Fault Demonrat Glendenning.

Only the Governor of a state can call out the Guard.

The Federal A.G. has nothing to do with it.

Pataki ordered the Guard deployed around New York in the aftermath of 9/11.

GGRRRRRR... no matter how sickening it is, it was only a matter of time. Sadly, there are freepers who also blame the President for this.
