Michelle Malkin on Sean Hannity radio program in just a few minutes.
Breaking info on DC Sniper case.
I think definitely something creepier and perverse.
I may as well direct the response to you, as you've been more civil than many others on the thread, and are thus likely to respond civilly.
The point is that this is NOT a perfect example of illegal immigration leading to increased risk of terrorism, and it is silly to claim that it is a good example.
For this to stand as an example of increased risk, we would have to claim that the idea and execution of the sniper attacks was mostly Malvo's doing, and that he jumped ship in order to carry it out.
This requires us to ignore the existence and influence of American-born, crime-committing, Army-trained, sharp-shooting, Islamic-converted, America-hating, 9/11-celebrating, and Farrakhan-guarding (have I left anything out?) John Allen Williams Mohammed. AND we would have to speculate that without Malvo's influence, John Mohammed wouldn't have done something like this anyway.
But of course it's much more reasonable to speculate that he probably would have done something like this, in one form or another, even had Malvo not been around.
It doesn't wash. It is NOT a good example of a connection between terrorism and illegal immigration. Yet Malkin (and many here) will nevertheless argue that it's a good example. That tendency is the reason Michelle Malkin's opinions on illegal immigration are not trustworthy: as I said previously, she is not above bending facts to suit her agenda.
As for her agenda itself, there are enough real problems associated with illegal immigration. There's no reason to base the case on false examples like this one.
Yeah, pup - and I actually spent about 3 minutes of it figuring out that an "Orbitologist" has something to do with Art Bell kinda thinkers! Wow....
Really? Looks more likely to me it's an older guy showing a younger guy what a badass he is. So, Malvo may have been the motivation for all of this. But who knows what Mohammed had on his mind? Hard to get into a guys head that thinks it's a good idea to knell down behind some other guys butt whenever he gets a chance. Much less shoot innocent people in front of a teenager.
But I could be wrong and you could be right. But I was not wrong that the shooter or shooters were Muslims. Back on the 14th I pointed out the none of the shootings fell close to any of the daily Muslim prayer times for the Washington time zone. I also speculated from the times of the shootings to the prayer times that the shooter was a Muslim likely travelling.
This is incorrect. The INS does not make laws. The laws are made by the Legislative branch of the U.S. Government. The INS is part of the Executive branch, charged with ENFORCING the law.
So, in effect the INS is DEFYING CONGRESS in a blatantly unconstitutional manner when it acts in this way.
If people were as wild to put in prison these bureaucrats who flout the laws and cause immeasurable harm to the U.S. and her citizens as they are Ken Lay and the bunch from Enron, we'd see this sort of cr*p cleaned up in a real hurry.
Alas, the media buries this, and it is up to the shrill voices of Malkin, Ann Coulter et al to bring it to the attention of enough citizens that something might eventually get done.
There has NEVER been a time where more clearly we need to take back the Senate from the Democrats, so many of whom hate America with a passion exceeded only by al-Qaeda and that ilk.
"Let go," h*ll. They need to be arrested and charged with failing to faithfully execute the laws of the land, with dereliction of duty, and with contempt of Congress.
Put some of these putzes in prison for eighteen months or so, and see how quickly things turn around.
They belong next to the employers of illegal aliens.
Here's a plausible guess:
1. Michelle has been heavily involved in researching this topic for a few years now, both for her regular columns and for background to her recently-published book Invasion.
2. In the course of this research, she has collected quite a Rolodex full of current and former INS agents in the rank-and-file, who are (as she often mentions) sick, tired, appalled and angry that the higher-ups in that "service" are routinely negating the hard work that the hard-working have put in to catch these miscreants and get them out of our country.
3. This means that she can pick up the phone at a moment's notice--like just as soon as Malvo's name went public--and get her sources to quickly track down the immigration status of these kinds of folks.
Hope that helps answer your question.
