Just so we get this straight, r9etb, illegal aliens shouldn't be in this country; Jamaican or otherwise. Also if you don't know for a fact that the mother is now legal don't intimate that she is, because then you begin to sound like our democratic senators. But whether she is now legal or not isn't the point; is it. She deliberately broke US law to do what she wanted to do. What makes you think she won't break other laws? Lastly just what facts has Ms. Malkin bent to suit her agenda?

Very interesting, spy. This scenario is being repeated over and over again. I wonder when the news media will be reporting her findings.

INS? Nah, Congress fixed it last year. Remember--all the tadoo about splitting the INS. Problem solved.

Wow. Thank you for posting that. I keep having this awful feeling that Mohammad was having a sexual relationship with Malvo.

Ms. Malkin several months back wrote a particularly bent column about immigration -- and after that one I've stopped paying much attention to her. It's in the archives someplace, and you're free to try to find it. I'm not really inclined to hunt it down.

To want to round up Mexican illegals, but give a pass to Jamaican illegals, smacks of bigotry, prejudice and preferential treatment. It does not assume that all are Equal Before The Law.

Illegal Jamaicans. Illegal Mexicans. Illegal Canadians. Illegal Japanese. All should be researched, tracked down, logged, out-processed and shown the door. It should be a fundamental component to the New American Homeland Security. They are an outrageous insult to:

All resident aliens who followed Federal INS law and reside within the parameters of that law.

And I will no longer take the crying bullshit that: "It can't be done! or It will split up families!"

If Hillary Clinton would close our borders and enforce the laws against illegal aliens I'd think she was a babe.

Well maybe not, but close.

So you'd like for us to research and verify your allegations...

If you really care about it, you can look it up. My objections are clearly stated in the thread.

However, you can also take an objective look at Ms. Malkin's writing for yourself. I think you'll find that what she says cannot always be taken at face value.

This is a perfect example. Malkin can be reasonably be expected to point to this as an example of how illegal immigration enables terrorism.

OK, so Malvo jumps ship. Does this mean that illegal immigration and this terrorist act are somehow related?

Well, no. Not really. Other thant the fact that Malvo was an illegal, it has nothing to do with the sniper shootings.

After all, the terrorist angle came about because Malvo fell into cahoots with his stepdad -- an American, born and bred. They went on a crime spree, for which the original idea, not to mention the money and expertise, almost certainly came from a domestic source -- John Mohammed.

So Malkin's likely conclusion does not hold water. If she ties Malvo's illegal status to terrorism, it's because she's bent the facts in order to do so.

Bottom line: Michelle Malkin is not a particularly honest columnist, which is why I no longer take her seriously.

Freepers, call your Senators and Congressmen tomorrow and let them have it. This is inexcusable. People at the INS have to fired and replaced. Ten people are dead, three wounded, and millions terrorized-- and maybe that could have been avoided.

It's simple. The number is 1-800-648-3516. You'll get the Capitol operator--just ask for the office of the person you want. Free for you, and easy for them.

Surprise, surprise (not)--The WaPo doesn't say a word about Malvo's immigration status in a 5:35 PM article on their web site. They don't deserve the benefit of a link.

OK .. just one question if John Mohammed was married to Lee Malvo mother .. then why would she have to jump ship??

And how did Michelle get this information so fast??

I'm guessing she gets it the same way Bill Gertz gets his info... from sources he's developed on the inside. They probably gave her a "heads up."

From the article...

He was apprehended by the Border Patrol in Bellingham, Wash., in December 2001, but was then let go by the INS district in Seattle in clear violation of federal law and contrary to what the arresting Border Patrol officers intended, according to my law enforcement sources.

According to INS records I obtained, Malvo was arrested by Border Patrol agents in Bellingham, Wash., on December 19, 2001. Local police called the Border Patrol during an incident involving "some sort of custody dispute" between Malvo's mother, Uma Sceon James, and John Mohammed (the ex-Army soldier with black radical Muslim ties now at the center of the sniper investigation). James admitted that six months earlier, "she and her son were passengers on a cargo ship that was filled with 'illegal asians (sic).' They were all off loaded in the Miami, FL area where she immediately located work at the Red Lobster in Ft. Myers, FL."

I'm not aware that John Mohammed was married to Malvo's mother. Reports today state that Malvo isn't his stepson.
