Good Morning Freepers! We can't be there in body, but we can be there in spirit! Today is the Patriots Rally for America II. Dutch-Girl and I will be posting the latest reports from the rally. CSpan will cover the event, but it will be aired on tape-delay at 2:00 p.m.

Dave Delegge is there - along with Ned13, pgsltacoma and daughter, Little Bill - who picked up Race banyan in Boston and Little Strawberry - the New England Contingant is there too. The stage & sound guys are setting things up, the canopy is up and the flags are FLYING!. It appears the weather will be on our side and CSPAN IS THERE!! YESSSS!!!. The camera guys are checking out the site for the best camera angles and Kristin called and will be there. Looking good for our FReeper friends in DC!!

The first hour of C-Span was dedicated to memorial commnets on Wellstones death. Quite a few libs called in wanting an investigation into the Bush Administration's involvement into Wellstone's death. Some said this is a case of "what goes around comes around" for the vile Vice Foster smear by Republicans.

The second hour (on now) is a spirited debate (mostly between the guests and the callers) Caller examples: "Bush is evil, wicked and needs to be stopped". "You white middle class people will not be fighting over there, it will be the poor whites and blacks that will be sacrificing their lives for the military industrial complex".

The young lady leftist must've hit the Starbuks on the way to the studio............boy is she fast.

News from DC: Angelwood brougt lots of gear(flags, signs, etc) The sound system is up and an instrumental version of "God Bless America" is floating on the breeze! Word is it sounds just BEAUTIFUL!.

The pro-palistinian crowd is starting to show up now and are setting up in the wrong place across Constitution Avenue at the Elipse apparently! Our freepers have actually had to direct some lost anti-war protesters to where they should be! LOLOLOL!!!

Understandable mistake. I have an aversion to the Iraqi flag, because I will never forget walking past their mission to the UN after 9/11 and noticing that their flag was not at half-mast, as every other nation's flag was.

Plenty of patriotic music playing: Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA", and lots more contemporary music. Park police are there to keep an eye on things. Everything looking great. Leader of the Iraqi contingent touched base with our folks: Imam Hushan al-husiany. Dave says they are adamant that they want Saddam OUSTED!
