Well, you'd better make up your mind soon. Saddam and the other terrorists have shown the old methods of containment and deterrence don't work on people who are willing to kill innocent civilians to achieve their aims. As Tony Blair said after the attacks of September 11, is there any doubt the terrorists would have killed 3,000,000 instead 3,000 if they could have? What must be done is so obvious I have little patience with those who fail to see.

I respect that. But the Iraqi people want the war. That's the point: if we can decide what's best, just ask them? Or as Mr. Holmes from CORE put it: after 9/11, how can we turn an eye to terrorism?

Those Iraqi dissidents who looked in the camera and Sadam WILL use biological weapons on us if we don't stop him -- I don't think they were exaggerating. They believe it. I believe them.

I think, if you are of two minds on this, it's useful to weigh heavily what the Iraqi dissents are saying.

Here's another point on the subject of why the right has few rallies. There are many ways to make your voice heard and rallies are not the strongest. Think of the Orange County CA housewives who, working from their homes, launched Reagan to the governorship and, ultimately, to the reshaping of the modern world through his great leadership. How many antiwar rallies would it take to add up to that? One Jim Talent tipping the balance of the Senate is a more powerful effect than a hundred rallies. If we take back the Senate conservatives could control all three branches of govt. and control all of the circuit courts as well. And you're worried about going toe to toe with a bunch of brownshirts????
