Now I want to see a thread with on-the-scene stories and freeper PICTURES, when is that going to happen?
Exhaustion reigns here. That's hard to say.

We are discussing what to do to make it up to Notra. I feel horrible about it, but our Iraqi friends may not have the same sense of edicate we do. 'Pod Don't take this wrong, but sometimes God moves in mysterious ways. I definitely felt an infusion at the very moment they began to speak. As the Iraqi people approached, I at first felt a dread, as if they were descending upon the rally to ruin it, to silence you. When I realized they were "friends," and as I listened to them speak, my heart was moved with a sense of urgency to relieve these people of their enslavement to Saddam and his cruelty. My heart broke for the Iraqi people, not having previously fully understanding their plight. It's one thing to hear a detached accounting of atrocities, it's quite another to listen to a man's voice quake as he describes the evil being done to his people. And if that can happen over a t.v., I can only imagine that there were many people whose hearts, previously hardened to the truth of Saddam's atrocities and to going to war against him, may have needed to hear these truths and be stirred for the plight of the Iraqi people. . . at that very moment.
So, although Notra's speech was interrupted, it may have been the hand of God, moving and orchestrating this to occur; had Notra NOT been speaking, had NOT been interrupted, the impact of it all (emotionally, visually, psychologically) would NOT have occurred. (Just my two cents, of course.)
Because of the stupid time-change, my VCR was unable to capture the beginning of the replay of our rally. < /GRIPE >

Thank you for that. God does indeed work in mysterious
ways. 'Pod

You don't know HOW excited we were about seeing you all on C-Span, and you have no idea how BUMMED we were to have the time keep changing and finally have to settle on a late-night viewing. I mean, we were waiting all day! I'm sorry C-SPAN strung you all along like that. Thanks for being there with us in spirit!

Well, I'm curious ... why should I not have said that?
To: abner
Thanks, abner! You're one of the nicest non-Pagans I know, too.
Seriously, I'm the only Pagan you've ever met? Shoot ... I shoulda acted weirder, or something, so you'd get the full effect. Should we really shake 'em up and tell them that I'm an ordained minister AND a high priestess? Mwah ha ha ha ha! ;o)

Excuse me?

The Iraqis had the best signs. The STOP HILLARY sign was great, jammed right in the screen. Also the Saddam/Osama 9/11 mural was great. I loved the C-Span zoom in on that.
Fantastic job.
To: finnman69
The STOP Hillary was Raoul's sign. They adopted it, however.

The Iraqis were wonderful, indeed. One young boy was carrying a sign with a photo of his brother, who was killed by Saddam's troops. His brother was carrying an American flag, but it kept brushing the ground, so I was explaining (gently) to him why it shouldn't, and his Dad was agreeing. Then, his aunt came over and was telling me that the soldiers had killed her 3-month old baby, and then she and I were hanging onto each other and crying (nobody cries alone when I'm around). Another Iraqi man told me that his 5 brothers had been killed, along with their families -- wives, children, elders, you name it. When I was out in the crowd, I kept leading the (nicer) protesters over to them, to hear the other side ... I gotta tell you, three of them put their protest signs in the trash after hearing the Iraqis tell about what it was like.
On another note, there were men who looked Middle Eastern who stood on the sidewalk and glared at us, and a couple of them took pictures with small cameras. Anybody have any clues as to who the H3LL they were? I need to know where to send the bill for my modeling fees. :o)
To: MightyMouth
WOW!!!! re: 3 people putting their signs in the trash.
You are on your own for the modeling fees. I'm tapped out.

Well ... if you stay out of Congress, it's not so bad. :o)
To: Paul Atreides
Why should I not have said that I am a Pagan? I am, after all, a Pagan.
To: sauropod
There may have been more who dumped their signs, but three is what I saw.
Oh, that's okay ... I'm pretty sure that what I was doing isn't *really* considered modeling. Well, maybe ... does standing and glaring back at them count as modeling? ;oD))
To: MightyMouth
Seriously, I'm the only Pagan you've ever met? The only one I know of anyway.
Shoot ... I shoulda acted weirder, or something, so you'd get the full effect. Should we really shake 'em up and tell them that I'm an ordained minister AND a high priestess? Mwah ha ha ha ha! ;o)
Well, look who I married, you wouldn't surprise me. He is also an ordained minister, not Pagan but an ordained minister just the same.

If you are so blithely unconcerned about being un-PC in your use of the word "rednecks" (whom you have said you want to see packed off to internment camps,) how come you're so full of such exquisitely PC solicitude towards Moslems? What gives you the right to preach to others about intolerance, when you have shown yourself to be at least as intolerant towards those whom you call "rednecks"?
To: CyberCowboy777
I saw this video - it would have been a blast to be there. The leftist kooks were carrying on like a bunch of maniacs. They went out of there way to disrupt the rally and make asses of themselves. Thank goodness CSPAN had an un-edited replay.
