Well boo (bleep)ing hoo! We hire these border patrol types to do a job, and all we hear from them is that illegal infiltrators get to chase them around in our own country with gunfire.

If they can't or won't do the job, they can just flip hamburgers for a living and we'll get the job done some other way.

They need to remember just who they're working for! We don't "appreciate" their not appreciating our ultimatum, either. (/rant)

The American Border Patrol and Ranch Rescue are upsetting the status quo and are going to throw a monkey-wrench into the underground economy.

How long is the bribe money going to continue to roll in from the smugglers, trafficking in drugs and illegal aliens, if their shipments can't be guaranteed unmolested entrance?

Don't these do-gooders know they're ruining a good thing?

Now you know this was written by a liberal.
Logical people do not "feel" that something is right or wrong. They look at the situation vs a rule set and see if it complies to the rule set or not.

The people that break our immigration laws, despite our empathy for their very human desire to get a better life, are criminals.
People who cannot handle this fact should work to change the immigration laws - increase the numbers of legal immigration, or pass "migrant worker" exceptions. Every person that comes in should be accounted for through legal processing. Anyone going around this legal process is a criminal.

Do you not suspect that one of the reasons so little is done to stop illegals and drug smuggling is because the profits are shared with law enforcement? Everyone of these so called agents should resign. They sure as hell are not doing us any good. With the exception of little Elian of course.

And while our very own backyard -- the US borders -- remains an unsecured sieve, the U.S. military and intelligence are spending untold billions and doggedly tracking "enemy forces" via the latest technological means in a dozen other countries around the globe.

Good thing U.S. policy-makers aren't in the car-manufacturing business as well; Standard features would include a 500 hp engine; however brakes and steering wheel would be "optional".

If the INS was doing it's job, this situation wouldn't be happening.

Citizens have a right to protect themselves and their property. That's why they are called "citizens" and not "subjects", where the Crown holds all authority for law and order. If our feckless government agencies can't do their jobs, they should get out of the way and let somebody who can and wants to do it, do it.

I predict illegal immigration and border problems will quickly decrease in this area.
