Detroit's voter rolls in question (too many registered)

DETROIT -- Despite having died eight years ago, Kathe Beddow still retains one mortal privilege: The right to vote.

The city Elections Department in July sent Beddow a voter registration card, even though she hasn't voted in more than a decade. She is also still listed as a registered voter with the Secretary of State's Office.

And bring a camera with you to snap pictures of the van drivers, and lawyers herding the "base" into the precincts.

Yea Detroit will be a main voting block for the RATS here in Michigan. If there were no Detroit Michigan would be Democrat free in elected seats. The RATS will be bussing people in to cast votes. We need some poll watchers down there.

Maybe the reason why so many dead people vote is because election day is only a week away from Holloween. :P

The fix is in. Create a confused atmosphere so you can mold it into a favorable outcome through litigation.

Out dated and wholly inaccurate voter registrations are a big problem all over the country. In Durham NC (the city and the county) there are more registered voters than there are adults over the age of 18 residing there.

But even attempt to clean them up and the ACLU and the NAALCP swoops in and cries racism and 'civil rights!'

NO, what Detroit needs is a good election-eve party sponsored by one of Jim Jones' deciples!

With the 2000 U.S. Census recording the city as having a population of 655,561 people of voting age, Williams' count would mean that 93 percent of the city's residents who can vote are registered.

When you count in those (felons, etc) that cannot vote, it probably means 100+% are registered.

Which means that Detroit, plus just one other city that has a similar scale of fraud, would account for the entire Democrat popular vote margin!

This has to be resolved by legal means, or it will get ugly. People don't like it when their nation is being stolen from them.

One simple solution would be to have a law that removes a person from the rolls if they did not vote in the previous election.

Yes, that means you would need to re-register if you missed an election.

The second reform would be to require ID to vote. I have no problem showing my Id to vote, especially if it cuts down on voter fraud.

This may not eliminate voter fraud, but there is no reason to make it easy for the crooks.

I agree with you 100%, but the Democrats depend on criminals and thugs for their votes. This would be declared unfair, since the Democratic Party itself is about 75% criminal anyway.

The Stupid Party strikes again. Vote fraud is a big problem in Michigan and I believe it cost Michigan a US Senate seat (Spence Abrahams) and cost Bush Michigan, when a huge number of votes came in from Wayne County (Detroit) late on election night.

They could've struck while the iron was hot after the Florida 2000 debacle to set up a secure, fraud-free voting system. But nooooo! They're afraid of confronting the Mafia, oops, Democrats.

Same BS happened in Highland Park as well. I think they have 15,000 people or so that live there.

Gore - 4911
Bush - 150
TOTAL - 5100 (33% people registered to vote AND voted?)

Looks like we need to use the same thumb print technology that they use in underdeveloped countries. A scan registered in a central clearing agency is the only way we are going to get away from the chronic cheating that Democrats seem to have mastered.

Both Williams and State Elections Director Chris Thomas say their efforts are hindered by federal laws saying that even when a voter is suspected to no longer be at an address, that person's record can't be purged until after two federal election cycles.

Who wants to bet that it wasn't the Democrat machine that put this law in place?

In India (the world's largest democracy) a voter dips the tip of their index finger in red ink. No print taken, but the voter is marked as having voted...

Either way, it's a simple and clever approach to a problem that seems to befuddle modern democracies. I simply don't see the problem of providing a photo ID when you go to vote. Somehow, every other transaction from cashing a check to buying a 6 of beer requires ID ... but strangely, the most important -- electing a government -- is so sacrosanct that asking for photo ID is a big deal. And isn't it ironic how the Democrats don't mind everyone getting a national ID card ... but they're damned if photo ID will be required to vote. Wouldn't want to scare off their illegals, children, and dead voters. Eventually, there will be a battleground over voting reform. It may not come now or even in a couple years ... but it's coming. We are going to undergo such a seismic shift in voting demographics that one of two things has to happen: Either parties are going to change radically -- or they're going to have to get a tighter control over the voter rolls.

========================

It's almost like they knew Taylor, Markman and Young were going to win regardless of loaded votes in Wayne, so they didn't even bother messing with it. Notice especially that the number of Bush voters nearly matches the number of Taylor, Markman and Young voters, whereas the Gore voters outnumber the voters for the liberal? candidates by more than 200,000. That, I believe, is the cheat margin.

They spent the time doctoring ballots for Gore and Liberal Debbie, but couldn't spare it in a losing cause for the Supreme Court candidates.

Probably the main reason for this is that you cannot pull a straight party lever for the Supreme Court candidates. You have to mark them each separately. Strange that the Republicans had time to mark their candidates, but the Democrats did not.

========================

Wayne difference ~ 230,000 liberal non-voters in Supremes races.

Gore beat Bush by 220,000 in Michigan.
Stabenow beat Abraham by 65,000.
