Actually it sounds like you are going to get the school locked down and swarming with federal, state, and local police, ATFs, DEAs, and social workers.

My daughter will be doing a short unit on Islam soon...I plan to teach the truth rather than the PC creepin crud.

Frank questions and truths need to be brought up to ensure *all* of Islam is exposed in your son's class. Kudos to you for the boldness you've instilled in him at such a tender age. :o)

Be careful, the fudge-packers who run the local public school here will throw a kid out for simply pointing a carrot at another child in a threatening manner.

How about finding passages from the Koran which call for killing of infidels and have your kid ask if he can "read portions of the Koran so we can gain understanding" in class. That ought to open some eyes among his peers.

**My son once was required to try to bring an Indian artifact to school. I gave him a poker chip from the local casino. **

My town Byron had the same problem. I led the protest against it and we got it stopped. I was on the David Gold and Jay Seculo (sp?) radio shows to discuss this last year.

You rock so hard.

Would you mind if we inquired the phone number or other contact info of this school, this teacher, and the principal? A slurry of angry phone calls and a public outcry that this teacher be fired might do wonders.

You're playing this out perfectly. A little humor, a minimum of fuss and the ball is thrown right back in the teacher's court by your son's response.

Let see what she does in return. If the teacher is obsessed, then it'll be time for a consultation with the principle and the school board. She's getting into a form of sensitivity training here, aka brainwashing and group guilt aka communist tactics.

My son's private NYC school has one day devoted to the study of Islam every year, in a tradition long pre-dating the current obsessions.

The kids go to a local mosque and visit the Metropolitan Museum to see the truly splendid artistic output of Islam's early centuries.

I used the museum trip to teach my son about tesselation, craftsmanship, and the ingenuity of artisans working without modern technology.

I present it as a secular/cultural topic. I also point out to him the historical fact that Islam has accomplished nothing in recent centuries, and that it is critical to know that civilizations wax and wane, and to stay focused on the future.

Actually, I think that you should contact a junkyard lawyer who lives for this kind of fight and DEMAND that the publick skewl cease and desist the indoctrination of the children into the Muslim faith.

Perhaps the Rutherford Institute would be a good place to start.

IMO this is not a geography lesson...it is a lesson in cognitive dissonance- re-education camp techniques -
The children will make the leap to moral equivilency between islam and their respective religions..feeling empathy after walking a few minutes in muslim slippers.

Personally, I'd be calling the school and telling them I'm filing a lawsuit today.

These liberal leftist scumballs are the first to cry 'Separation of Church & State' whenever a Christian activity is involved, so turn it around on them! Separation of Church & State means ALL churches, even the left's favorite killing cult, Islam.

"Role playing is an excellent tool to highlight the hidden influences... or... the hidden commandments of the family...." [1] Robert Hawley, Value Exploration Through Role Playing, 1975.

Theater and role-playing are powerful tools for social change. The explicit purpose for bringing these processes into schools was exposed by Fannie and George Shaftel in their 1967 manual for change: Role-Playing for Social Values:

"Once values are out in the open, they can be looked at, considered compared with alternative values. Only then can one criticize, evaluate, deny or confirm and reconstruct one's value system. Children can be helped to... develop an explicit set of values. In group discussions, in role-playing enactments... they can explore their values and learn the process of criticizing and reconstructing them... under skilled guidance.

Teen violence, family breakdown, rejection of truth and mockery of parents are just a few of the devastating consequences of today's psycho-social manipulation.

I wonder if the other children will complain, "Oh! Imam always liked you better!"

The dis-passionate studying of Islamic art and architecture is a bit different than simulating an actual religous ceremony as a partaker..imo
