I again repeat that Irene swore this all happened as she told me it did. I recall seeing the goosebumps that rose on her arms as she told the story. I get goosebumps when I retell it even today.

What do you all think?

Should be easy enough to verify, given that the story was supposedly widely reported.
Or, it could just be another "urban legend".
Either way, it's a great Halloween story.

Ghost story bump!

As the other poster says - could be an urban legend. But quite possibly, the story is true just as it was related. There are lots of stories of haunted sites, and I have come to believe that there is something to them. I think that a lot of them are made up, but some of them are true.
