I seriously doubt the election clerk in that last incident was a Republican. Contrary to the implications of this article, Texas does NOT register voters by political party. And even if they did, why would a republican direct not one but two GOP voters to punch straight ticket 'rat and turn the dial to the D straight ticket selection for them?

No way was that judge a Pubbie. Give me a break you lying rat!
This election and all elections from now on are going to be fiascos thanks to Gore and his attempted coup in Florida. The rats learned just how much they can get away with in the open as opposed to NOP of fraud behind closed doors.

I'm still reeling from the shock of discovering that there are any Republicans in Travis County at all...

I am dead set against any kind of electronic balloting.

Straight party voting in one action should not be legal. All and all I am afraid that this election is going to be nothing more than one giant fraud. It will not even reflect who the people wanted to vote for. There are more voter scam frauds out there than you could begin to count. And our system has been deliberately altered to allow it.

Travis County was carried by GW in 2000, thanks to all the Greens who voted for Nader1

Okay, you want to file a complaint? Just set the dial to the complaint icon which looks like a donkey and push the 'Done' button.

I hope Republicans have their own lawyers ready to fight all this fraud.

I find it hard to believe a voting machine has a dial that can select a straight party-line ticket.

"The irony, DeBeauvoir said, is that the judge happens to be a Republican."Naw, a graduate seminar caller who also went to the Dimocrat Vote Fraud Seminar.

Cheer up!
Got one THC (Travis Heights Crew) Republican here!
I know of 3 others!
We all voted early at the Oltorf HEB. Everything seemed to be run well at that location, at that time. However their surely were a number of rats scurrying about.
Leave it to the genius Guilty White Liberals over Lakeway to screw it up. ;)
Let the THC flame war begin!

Straight party voting in one action should not be legal. You should see the ballot in my county. I'll bet there were at least 20 races where the Republican had NO opponent.
I didn't vote straight party ONLY because I like to enjoy the feeling of voting for each and every one of them. But it certainly would have saved me a bunch of time.

Note that the election "judge" is nameless so nobody can independently check on the RAT's claim that he's a Pubbie.

We've been trying to get rid of straight ticket voting in Texas for a while. There was a bill to do it in the last session that I worked for heavily. Banning straight ticket voting is part of the GOP platform, but the bill was actually sponsored by a rural semi-conservative Democrat.
Unfortunately the radical wing of the 'rat party has a stranglehold on the Elections Committee in the House (hopefully that will change thanks to redistricting). It's been run with an iron fist for years by 'rat state rep. Debra Danburg. Danburg is often called the most liberal member of the Texas legislature, so you can guess exactly how far the bill got.
Add the committee membership in and you get an even better picture. There are 3 republicans and 6 or 7 'rats on the committee. Among the 'rats are one of the Dem caucus leaders who is constantly suing the state for "discrimination" via MALDEF et al whenever something doesn't go his way in the legislature. Another is a black democrat Sheila Jackson Lee Jr. named Terry Hodge from Dallas. She screams "intimidation" every time somebody proposes to do something that would get dead people off the voter roles. Another black democrat on the committee has offered pro bono legal representation to Nation of Islam thugs and Quannel X's neo-black panthers. That's what we're currently up against for electoral reform in Texas thanks to 'rat speaker Pete Laney.
Redistricting should give the GOP a majority in the legislature next year, though it may not be enough to defeat Laney for speaker, meaning the committee would stay the same. A couple of RINO state reps named Delwin Jones and Brian McCall, you see, are expected to vote for Laney no matter who has the majority.

How's the job situation there? I may be looking for a new domicile come Nov. 6.
Seriously, even though I know the folks that run my poll (helps that my mother is one of them), and I know the machine (optical scan), I still mark each and every race individually.

Well, in Wisconsin I voted yesterday morning because I'm working at the polls on election day. Our newly remodeled City Hall offers no place to fill out your ballot in private. The clerk stood right over me and watched me fill in all the little ovals. She knows every vote I cast and even knows that I wrote in a candidate's name instead of voting for one of the printed choices. After she finished watching me, she watched my husband.
