My son had the Oregon voters' pamplet sent on audio cassette.(he is a quad)
It took about 10 days to get to him (way to long I called twice).
When it came it was formatted to play only on a state issued player. (would of been nice for the office to clue us in)
Luckily he was staying at the local skilled nursing center this past week as "respite" for both us and they had one of these state issued players.
Even with the player the speed at the best adjustment was fast and sounded like a helium voice.
Well he studied the issues and was able to vote and since I mark the ballot according to gestures of yes or no with his head (he has no speech except pre recorded messages he accesses with a head switch so after 23 years we have worked out our own communication). I did not want to sway his voting and I could do that very easily with the way I gesture while reading to him. I cannot keep a straight face.
I was suprized how he voted but satisfied that it was independently done no matter how mucky getting the tapes and listening to the poor quality.
When he was younger (healtheir and I could still transfer him without a lift) he would go out and meet the folks running.
One dem. told him that he was really a conservative and ran on the D ticket because he knew he could win.

" If one of us, who did not "hear" what was said but tells the FBI, would they not consider that "hearsay," or "third-party" and cannot follow up or would not follow up on a tip because it was told, even anonymously, third hand?" Well, that may be why they were so diligently trying to prevent any known Republicans from attending the event. There was presumably media present, but they were probably so busy slobbering on Clinton's shoes that they never heard a word that was said.
Like I said, Budge has the guy's name and they were pretty actively involved with the Jay Dickey campaign, and I think one of our FReeper poll watchers knows who he is too and can perhaps reach him and have him report this first hand...I hope.

We already knew the Dems were planning on sending lots o' lawyers to the polls, but I think the general consensus was that their mission would be to generate a sense of voter disenfranchisement for lawsuits.
This is even more serious, that they would actually intimidate and have Republican poll workers removed for challenging questionable voters. This is war... for our republic. I sure hope the good guys win this one. If I recall they are ALSO sending a boat load of Lawyers down to Florida .. most likely to do the same thing

In addition to phone calls, e-mails and letters we need to pray like crazy tomorrow and Tuesday that the evil one will be BOUND, and that the attempts of the Dems to perpetrate fraud and deceit would fail!
This is spiritual warfare, folks! We've got to be on our knees in prayer about this!!

" If a poll watcher contests it, they will have to talk to the election committee." I'm not sure how consistent the law is for poll watchers from state to state. Here we are entitled to be where we can see the signatures and make our own comparisons, keep our own lists of the names of questionable voters and challenge a ballot. This doen't mean that they are turned away. It means that they cast their ballot and it goes in a special envelope and the election judges have the final say whether or not the ballot is accepted. What they have been doing in at least two counties during early voting is preventing the poll watchers from being able to effectively do their job. We cannot challenge the voter directly, but the poll worker.

CALLING ALL FREEPERS (and sorry if you've already been pinged). (This'll be my last one for the night, sweetliberty and budge, as I need to get some sleep before work tomorrow):
Sweetliberty, Budge, and some others FReeped the Creep tonight (not me). Because this is an important thread for you to read, I'm pinging you, even if I don't know you. Please read, especially the part quoted in red. According to an "honorary" FReeper "spy," the Rats said they were going to prevent Republicans poll watching by RAT lawyers.
our "spy" . . . when he came out, he said . . . They were told that there would be attorneys posted at every precinct to prevent poll watchers from challenging ANY ballots. . . There is an all out campaign by these people to intimidate the poll watchers and then turn around and accuse us of voter intimidation. . . . get other FReepers on the case to get this publicized and contact appropriate media, political and legal sources to alert them that Republican poll watchers in this county are likely to be facing an organized, all-out Rat attack.
PLEASE PING YOUR LISTS so we can get the word out. Thanks.

"Parsi you really should do standup." Isn't that the truth. And then he played a not so nice trick on our already distressed FReeper by calling her on her cell phone, faking an accent and claiming to be from the NAACP questioning her about preventing people from voting. We think parsy has "issues". LOL!
To: nicmarlo
Thanks for doing a fantastic job of alerting FReepers!!! It's people like you (and others here) who make this place so GREAT!!!

Hopefully, some conservative lawyers can advise us as to civil rights charges our side could file against the Rat lawyers if they try to thwart legal and honest voting.
That's what we need, too, some information that sweetliberty or budge could post tomorrow, hopefully, on BREAKING NEWS, requesting that JR keep it there for everyone to read....so they know what to say to RAT lawyers if they're a poll watcher Good idea on keeping in the Breaking News .. I am sure the Rats are going to pull this stunt all over the country
