Campaign Update - November, 2002

THE SENATE

Here we go again ... the general election was November 5th and already we are fighting to win another seat in a special election in Louisiana to be held on December 7th.

As I mentioned in previous Campaign Updates, Louisiana handles elections like no other state. On the same day other states are holding the general election, a primary is held in Louisiana. All candidates run on the same ticket and if anyone gets more than 50%, he or she wins. If no one manages to get 50%, there is a runoff a month later between the top two, even if they are from the same party.

In the November 5th election there were a total of nine candidates on the ballot including four Republicans, three Independents and two Democrats. The incumbent, Democrat Senator Mary Landrieu, received 46% of the vote, just shy of the 50% needed to win.

Mary Landrieu should not have this Senate seat for several reasons. First, she won it six years ago with massive voter fraud. Gambling interests bused in people from other states to vote. Homeless shelters with just a few beds had hundreds of registered voters listed as living there. In New Orleans, van loads of people were taken from polling place to polling place to vote again and again. Thousands of dead people voted for her, stealing the election from a pro-life social conservative who is a good friend of mine, Woody Jenkins.

We have another pro-life social conservative candidate in the December 7th election in Louisiana; Lee Fletcher is running for the House in the 5th district. This is an open seat. On November 5th the leading Democrat, Rodney Alexander, received just 29% of the vote, while our man Lee Fletcher received 25%. There were seven candidates running for the seat and the votes for Republicans totaled 69% of the vote, but we can’t take any election in Louisiana for granted. Bus loads of dead Democrats from New Orleans may show up to vote!

Government Is Not God - PAC did well in the Senate campaigns in which we were active. We won three out of four elections, having supported John Cornyn in Texas, Lindsey Graham in South Carolina, and Jim Talent in Missouri. The fourth race, in South Dakota, may yet be a win. John Thune is only 527 votes behind incumbent Senator Tim Johnson. A recount may uncover thousands of fraudulent votes on Indian reservations where the Democrats received sometimes far more than 100% of the vote.

My contacts in the Republican Senatorial Election Committee tell me they know about the massive voter fraud on the Indian reservations in South Dakota, and they have dispatched dozens of lawyers up there to take action. They plan to bring this matter to court, where the election will almost certainly be overturned. However, I think some in the Republican Party leadership may not want to pursue this issue, for fear of being termed a "racist party."

Speaking of fraud, there were heavy Democrat losses in Florida because the new voting system cost them hundreds of thousands of fraudulent votes they usually cast in that state. In Wisconsin, a Milwaukee TV station used a hidden camera to record Democrat employees at a home for the mentally ill handing out ballots to patients and "helping" them fill them out. This dishonesty and fraud on the part of the Democrats must be stopped, and people should go to jail.

I'm more and more convinced all the time that there is nothing they won't do.
