Hmmmmm... I'll say GOP finishes off with 52 +/- 2 seats in Senate and 5 +/- 4 House extras. Coverin' my Republican a$$ with the standard deviation here, haha. AND I predict that the tax ref here in Hampton, VA will bellyflop. I'll be doin' my part to make it so here after I get done cussin' around at work here...

"Hutchinson (R) - Pryor (D) Senate in Arkansas
Chambliss (R) - Cleland (D) Senate in Georgia (This will be VERY close, but I smell upset.)
Coleman (R) - Mondale (D) Senate in Minnesota (And all of McAuliffe's horse, and all of Mondull's meds; couldn't stop Coleman, from getting a Washington bed.)
Talent (R) - Carnahan (D) Senate in Missouri Sununu (R) - Shaheen (D) Senate in New Hampshire (The insanity finally spills over from Vermont and Taxachusetts.)
Dole (R) - Bowles(D) Senate in North Carolina (And another Klintoonista bites the dust.)
Thune (R) - Johnson (D) Senate in South Dakota (The fraud is too much to overcome.)
Simon (R) - Davis (D) Governor of California
(Kalifornica is lost; I doubt that even Reagan in his prime would win against Gray-Out Davis in today's Kalifornica. I suggest abandoning ship now.)
Bush (R) - McBride (D) Governor of Florida
Ehrlich (R) - Townsend (D) Governor of Maryland
"

That Johnson picks gonna cost you, my FRiend...you've got until Noon EST to change it...MUD

Let me put it this way; I HOPE that it costs me, but I've got too much experience with fraud up here in Wisconsin to say otherwise.

I am just trying to prepare myself so I don't cry so hard if we lose. Lower my expectations so I don't expect too much! (I did vote straight R in NYC this morning, though, so I did my part)

"And if you win, you can try look for me in Barbados! With your powers of seeking me out, I'm sure you'll succeed! "

Yea; under the circumstances of my being single & actually having to deliberately seek you out?
In spite of Barbados being a molassess reeking gawd-awful small island?
I'd never find you in a hundred years of Sundays.

That's just how life is, Angel.
Never could figure it out, either.

No.
If I were single once again?
I would never permit my "competition" the chance of getting to you, first.
I'd take a more direct route to your heart, H1.
Go ahead & directly send you a 1st Class ticket to St. Thomas, to meet me.

Rendezvous at a little Bistro (I know of) right on the bay at the island's main port.
Idle-away the hours over bottles of ice-cold Heinekins & talk.
All the while watching the fat little bald men hurridly disembark the docking cruise ships, waddle-off into the distance wearing hawiian-print shirts -- wives in-tow -- enroute to the duty-free zone.

St. Thomas; *nice* place, y'know?

...next lifetime Angel; deal? ;^)

Hmmmmm, so you think Sununu's gonna win it despite the Smith supporters feckless McStain-like pandering to the Leftist's Agenda?!

Yes, absolutely.
Those disenchanted Republicans will come 'round much the same way as you would if Senator Warner was in a close race.

...I mean that in a most complimentary way.

NOWHERE TO RUN, LIBERALS!

I predict that if both Chafee and McCain switch parties, it won't matter because Pubbies will pick up 3 seats in Senate.

These are my predictions.

OR: Gordon Smith Wins
ID: Larry Craig Wins
MT: Max Caucus Wins
WY: Ensue Wins
CO: Allured Wins (very, very tight)
NM: Dominic Wins
SD: Thane Wins (strong R slant, charismatic figure, voter fraud will push this to an R squeaker)
NE: Hagel Wins
KS: Pat Roberts Wins
OK: Inhofe Wins
TX: Cornyn Wins (weak R candidate, but a strong R showing in state...too bad as Kirk is a great candidate and in almost any other state would win)
LA: Landrieu (whatever Rs...you don't have a prayer. Tossing in three weak candidates to split the vote...at stall tactic...nothing else)
AR: Pryor Wins (bye-Bye Hutchinson...hypocrite)
MO: Talent wins (Carnahan is a sweet lady and I really like her, but Talent is much more qualified to serve in that position)
IA: Harkin Wins (Ganske had the best chance from that state, but for some reason, people in that state really like Harkin)
MN: Mondale wins. (Coleman had a chance with Wellstone's term limit about face and his unbashed liberal ways. Mondale is just as liberal, but is a part of the establishment)
IL: Durbin wins (the name place of Dunkin is tricky and Chicago voters might get confused and vote for the wrong person...the only way Durkin wins if the stupid union ballot stuffers stuff too many envelopes of ballots marked with the wrong name)
MI: Levin wins big
KY: McConnell Wins big
TN: Lamar wins over Clement (this is a sleeper...who knows)
MS: Conchran wins big
AL: Sessions Wins
GA: Cleland wins (Chambliss definitely has momentum, but it will probably die off by election day)
SC: Grahmn wins
NC: Dole wins
VA: Warner Wins
WV: Rockefeller wins
DE: Biden wins
NJ: Lautenberg wins (if the Rs played it right, Torecelli still would be in the race and Forrester would be a one-term Senator...he would represent the voters of NJ as well as Grams represented the voters of MN)
RI: Reed wins
MA: Kerry Wins
NH: Shaheen wins (Sununu may be able to win the stuff shirt vote and Smith really was a maverick and could pull up enough votes to win. The independent Smith write in campaign and former Smith voters will vote enough with Shaheen to push her over the top)
ME: Collins wins

Frank Wood & the News Chronicle is considered to be the more conservative paper in town, as you may know. He has some influence on some of the voters who are disgusted with the negative campaigning in the race.

Apparently, you've forgotten about the union Dems (paper mills, etc.), the Oneida Tribe of Indians--most decidedly Dem & one of the largest employers in the area--and other Dem voters in the area. But as far as the impact of Woods' editorial, it's had more influence on R's going to the Libertarians, as far as I can see.

Ok, so I'm really going out on a limb with Golisano coming in second (and relegating the 'Rats to third). But I think it can happen! And Golisano coming in second is going to be a real victory for the GOP as the 'Rats will be on the third line of the ballot at the next election.

Not as big a limb as you think. There was an article by Fred Dicker in the New York Post a week or so ago about how upstate is "aflame" with Golisano support. The polls are still showing him third, but second place could happen, and it would shake up the system.

Not only would a Golisano second-place finish consign the Dems to the third line on the ballot and make them oficially a "minor" party, but it would deprive them of their posts on the State Board of Elections and some other patronage positions. (The Independence Party, Golisano's party, would get them instead.) That would reduce the opportunities for 'Rat corruption.

For New York FReepers: You have to get 50,000 votes for Governor to maintain "permanent" ballot status for four years. How many of New York's 8 parties (Republican, Democrat, Independence, Conservative, Liberal, Right to Life, Green, Working Families) maintain their ballot line? My guess is 6.

Predictions:
Smith, G.
Mannix (Kulongowski will be strong in Portland, but Mannix has run a "hit the road" campaign, and I think he will carry the state. We are very tired of D governor, Kitzhaber.
Boquist for local rep (Hooley's voting record does not jive with the Willamette valley conservatism of farmers and small business owners.)

Pryor (D) Senate in Arkansas
Cleland (D) Senate in Georgia
Coleman (R) Senate in Minnesota
Carnahan (D) Senate in Missouri
Shaheen (D) Senate in New Hampshire
Bowles(D) Senate in North Carolina
Johnson (D) Senate in South Dakota
Davis (D) Governor of California
Bush (R) Governor of Florida
Townsend (D) Governor of Maryland
Also Strickland (D) Senate in Colorado (Extra Credit)

Some of these will probably be the result of fraud.
