VANITY - Alabama Governor Fiasco Explained (surprise surprise the DIMS are LYING)
Self | 6 Nov 2002 | Commish

Posted on 11/06/2002 5:28:53 PM PST by commish

Sorry for the vanity, but I feel it is important that Freepers know the truth about the “fiasco” in Alabama. As everyone knows, Siegelman is claiming he received 19,070 votes in Baldwin County when the OFFICIAL CERTIFIED count is 12,736.

Siegleman is claiming that 6000+ “"Votes were changed after midnight with nobody present." This is a pure Bald faced LIE, and SNEAKYMAN knows it.

I will now explain the counting process and what happened in Baldwin County. My sources are Radio Hosts RICK & BUBBA – who worked the Riley War Room Vote Center last night and explained in detail the system used. I was able to verify this today with a co-worker who worked as a Riley Precinct rep here in Montgomery. I am sure that Alas Babylon! And other Bama Freepers will also verify that the Vote reporting system I will explain is true.

Once the polls close, each precinct counts their votes and creates an OFFICIAL Tally sheet, Campaign reps verify this number, the precinct then creates a CALL SHEET which is then Faxed or phoned into the County Probate, Campaign Precinct reps verify that the TALLY Sheet and CALL SHEET match. The TALLY is then HAND CARRIED to the county probate for Certification. At County level the CALL SHEET is received and Campaign Reps there VERIFY with their Precinct reps that the numbers match. The CALL SHEETS are then fed into a computer SPREADSHEET which is then posted and released to APT (Alabama Public Television) – this is usually not looked at by the CAMPAIGN REPS as they are too Busy verifying the TALLY and CALL sheets. APT is Alabama’s OFFICIAL Election Eve Vote Counter. APT then releases the numbers to the press.

Now in Baldwin County – Each Precinct TALLY sheet and CALL sheet MATCHED and was verified by both campaigns. The CALL sheets were then MATCHED and VERIFIED at county Level by BOTH CAMPAIGNS. At all times LAST NIGHT these TOTALLED up to 12,736 VOTES for SEIGELMAN. BOTH CAMPAIGNS KNOW THIS AND VERIFIED IT.

Now here is where the error occurred, when the CALL sheets were put into the UNOFFICIAL SPREADSHEET there was an input error and when the SPREADSHEET was printed and given to APT it showed 19,070 votes for Seigelman. THIS WAS NEVER AN OFFICIAL NUMBER, AND WAS NEVER GIVEN TO EITHER CAMPAIGN OR VERIFIED BY EITHER CAMPAIGN. BOTH CAMPAIGNS HAD 12, 736 AS THE OFFICIAL NUMBER

. Needless to say, when the RILEY people saw Baldwin reported as 19,070 in the press BELLS and WHISTLES went off. They called their rep in Baldwin county and he verified and the PROBATE JUDGE verified at 11 PM LAST NIGHT that 12,736 was the correct number.

It was at this point that Baldwin County decided to rerun their numbers just to verify the total was correct. By this time all the precincts had closed and all the “Campaign reps” had left. All Baldwin County did was recount the numbers and verify they were correct. THEY DID NOT MAKE NEW TALLY SHEETS, because the OFFICIAL TALLY SHEETS were CORRECT!

At 11AM this morning Baldwin County OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED their results at 12,736 votes for Seigelman and BOB RILEY WON THE ALABAMA GOVERNORSHIP BY 3085 VOTES.

Don Seigelman is lying when he says votes were STOLEN UNDER COVER OF DARKNESS AND HE KNOWS HE IS!

Hope this helps explain the situation here. BOB RILEY is Governor of Alabama fair and square, and no amount of DIMBO whining and Lying can change that.

The dems are the party of lies and the little power play in Fla 2 years ago didn't fly with the average voter only their leftwing base who look past any facts. Fla was one reason our republicans turned out in mass numbers yesterday.

Yeah but we hear Siegelman is looking at other counties and looking for something, anything. This guy is certainly capable of doing a goron and asking for selective recounts (or getting some local dem to request one).

"I thought your governor was gonna be run out of office on a rail."

I did too. I think he sucked in the 'bingo' vote with the state lottery proposal. That's how he got elected the first time. The susequent lottery referendum was soundly defeated. He promised to bring it to a vote again.

I heard Rick and Bubba were nothing but low rent ripoffs of John-Boy and Billy in Charlotte. ;-)

We got snookered in Tennessee when some RINOs in the East switched to the Democrat Bredesen. In our states we have some major obstacles to overcome. Those not from the South cannot fathom the weight of the African American vote for Democrats in Birmingham, Mobile & Montgomery, or Memphis, Nashville & Chattanooga. Republicans must be absolutely united to even stand a chance. I am amazed that Georgia overcame the African American vote in Atlanta yesterday.

The sad part is that the Republicans are the party that gives us Condi Rice, Colin Powell, J.C. Watts and conservatives such as Armstrong Williams, Thomas Sowell, Ken Hamblen, and Walter Williams. Most southern blacks however are endoctrinated early on that the Republicans are the "white man's" party.

Lamar Alexander won the Senate in Tennessee in part because he was able to bring in Willie Herenton, a Memphis black leader. This resulted in Alexander splitting the vote in Memphis with the Democrat Bob Clement where the Democrat usually takes 90% or better of the vote.
