Anybody see Dashle on CNN this morning ? he looked like he saw a ghost.

The douchebag? It might be that The Little Dictator realized that Clinton isn't president anymore and that the former AG Janet Reno can't rat-hole embarrassing little things like election fraud for them. South Dakota just got taken off the Democratic reservation.

I've been waiting for the ballot stuffers to make this mistake - how fitting that it was on Tommy's turf.

Counties with more registered voters than 18+ population, with % of registered voters who actually voted, and % of 18+ population who actually voted:

.......................% of Reg'd--% of 18+Pop.
.......................that Voted--that Voted
Bennett..................67.9-------70.8
Campbell...............67.9-------73.1
Dewey...................55.7-------63.0
Haakon.................73.5-------74.6
Hand.....................78.0-------83.6
Hanson..................73.4-------83.9
Harding..................82.7-------86.6
Jackson..................62.1-------62.7
Mellette..................63.1-------66.3
Shannon.................44.6-------45.6
Sully.......................80.0-------81.1
Ziebach..................60.9-------65.2
Avg these Counties..62.4-------66.1
STATEWIDE.........70.9-------61.1

So in these counties, turnout of registered voters was 8.5% lower than the statewide average (suggesting these are stale voter rolls, and the dead and otherwise departed registrants aren't voting). However, the turnout of the 18+ population was 5.0% HIGHER than the statewide average (I'll let someone else try to figure out why that might be). Weird, but I don't see any indication that no-longer-valid or never-valid registrations are being used to increase the number of votes cast.

You made a mistake with Marshall, McCook and McPherson. The state alphabetized Marshall before McCook and McPherson. The Census alphabetized it after. The figures should be:

County Population Turnout
Marshall 4,576 2,196
McCook 5,832 3,010
McPherson 2,904 1,626

I'm not sure what you want to do with this, but I've put the data into an Excel spreadsheet. I'm going to add in as a fifth data column the percentage of votes that went to johnson.

Then we can see if Johnson scored much higher in counties which had much higher turnout (which would be very interesting, even though it would prove nothing)

Of course, any anomalies would be interesting...

Nevermind the District must include several counties, yes? Nooo that doesn't seem right, there would have to be more kids than 216.

I checked the results of % for Johnson compared to % of the people who voted. There was a huge circular blob with a few small outliers. One of them was Shannon County, but that can be explained easily: that's the Indian Reservation.

He's just got a big head because he won back the Senate. He thinks they're going to make him the new majority leader. Pffft. Not likely.

No, I think the numbers are probably correct. It may be a small district with only 216 kids and three schools.

Give them a call anyway, now you don't have to look up the number.

That is what I was going to say. I heard on the news that the FBI through the Justice dept was investigating possible fraud there.
Amazing numbers on these charts. I do think that Ashcroft will do something if fraud is proven. Afterall, the Democrats have been very concerned about voter fraud you know. They have really pressured the government to put a stop to it. :-)
