Did Syria vote yes?! If so,why? Out of fear? Did we promise them something? Does anyone know?
To: Howlin
Not much .. but he seems to think there is some kind of trigger in the new resoluation to give Bush an ok to attack regardless with the inspectors say
I guess he is still worried about Saddam's health

President Bush (and the American people) really gave a wake up call to the UN: "You're either with us or you're irrelevant"
To: Smile-n-Win
"Some of the leftists may even think the UN is part of the Vast Right-Wing Zionist Conspiracy! I mean, there are people who think CNN is firmly in the hands of the Republicans..."LOL...I read some of those posts too!! How far left of left do yu have to be to believe that CNN is right wing biased??? One individual actually called for a BOYCOTT of CNN because it was controlled by the "Repukies."

"We are negotiating with communists!"Seems to me that the United States is wresting control of a body, which WE created, AWAY form the communists.

My guess is that Syria voted yes out of fear. As did the entire UN Security Council. See, when they thought GW was a dumb cowboy who was just SELECTED president, they complacently believed they held ALL the cards and would FINALLY prove their socialist way of thinking is MUCH better than the Americans' "imperialist" way of thinking. Just like the New Democrats in this country.
Syria was betting we'd cave to UN pressure...betting on what they thought was the stronger horse.
The American people sent a loud, clear message to the social imperialists of the world: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, THE PARTY IS OVER AND THE ADULTS ARE IN CHARGE!!
As America goes, so goes the world.

And God Almighty 'created' Lucifer as well. This does not make Lucifer 'good.' Too bad tyranny/socialisim/communisim was implemented into the United Nations. Seems to me it was inevitable to create tyranny as the future dream of world government/ globalization.
The U.S. was also the leader in forming NATO, neither the U.N. nor NATO jives with our constitution, no one screamed about this then and it seems no one cares now.

I live in one of the trendier parts of Brooklyn and I hear this sort of stuff all the time. These people think that the New York Times is right wing! Really!

Unbelievable!!! The U.K. was getting a big O to sign up for the United Nations to tee totally rule them they knew gosh darned well they would be subject to the World court AKA=ICC and made fun of us as we stated this was our reason for not joining the world government. The world's gone mad.
To: TaRaRaBoomDeAyGoreLostToday!
Precisely. The Brits have only themselves to blame regarding their problem with the ICC. They wanted to be in fashion without a care in the world for tomorrow.
Europe has gone mad and wonders why the heck we aren't jumping off the cliff with them. The Islamics keep cheering Europe on and telling us to be more like Europe, which is acutally quite a sane thing to do.
And now for bad news about Weapons Inspector Blix, I'll try to dig up the link...

Can a Wimp Disarm Saddam?

"...The world has been amply warned about Blix's weaknesses because he has a track record of compounded failure. When Blix headed the IAEA before the Persian Gulf War of 1991, he blithely assured the world, after several inspections, that nothing alarming was happening in Iraq. He delivered the clean bill of health that Saddam had hoped for when he began hiding his atomic factories and ambitions..."
[Lots more. It totally devastates Blix.]

I think what's left of Bin Laden's head is mounted above the fireplace.
To: Starstruck
Naaaa I have a funny feeling he is in big time co horts with so damn insane and very much alive.

I wonder though if Great Britains soldiers had any clue about anything of their country signing up for world government muchless the ICC. Could be? they are only finding out now? OR this is a grand excuse for the UK to wuss out of war.
To: TaRaRaBoomDeAyGoreLostToday!
IMHO, the ICC problem was an afterthought for England. I don't think they considered it a problem when they signed on. Now, smirking Islamic states are sending them threats about the World Criminal Court.
To: TaRaRaBoomDeAyGoreLostToday!
England wondered how Bush could be right when the rest of the world made fun of him, even our opposing political party. A wise man can thread the eye of a needle while a hundred fools laugh at his efforts.
To: Arthur Wildfire! March
Oh OK yeah... they are probably using this tactic to scare them away. But how dumb can England get, R they blonde R what? They can't have their pudding till they eat their meat....duh
