Sorry for the vanity posting, but I know that I am not the only that is being bugged by this company daily. I was finally able to trace where the phone calls were coming from as they would always block their phone number. The phone number they are calling from is 1-506-357-2011 and if you call the number back they give you a PO Box where you can write into, but they will not say why they are calling you or what type of service they are. They have been calling me day and night every day of the week at the same times for about 4 months now. I have my phone blocked so that they have to show the phone number they are calling from, otherwise the call is blocked. Finally one of them punched in the RMH number they were calling from and I was able to find out exactly who they were. I did a google search and sure enough other people have complained about getting the same calls as I have been and as often as I am, people are posting messages on a couple of message boards and someone posted a link the telemarketers website and to call the number listed on the website and tell the operator to put you on a no-call list, she will transfer you to a "voice mailbox" where you just say your area code and phone number and ask that your number be taken off their call list (you do not have to give them your name). The number to call if you are also are getting bothered by these people is 1-610-325-3100 or 1-800-367-5733 (so they will connect you to the "no-call voice mailbox") or you can fax them at 1-610-325-4250 or write them at
Communications Manager - RHM
PO Box 379
Newtown Square, PA 19073
or
RMH - NO CALL LIST
15 Campus Boulevard
Newtown Square, PA 19073
It takes 6 to 8 weeks to be put on the no-call list... so I have another 6 to 8 weeks of their calls to put up with. But now I can block them if they are calling from one of the 3 numbers I posted above. Good Luck all...!

Sorry for the vanity, but if I am getting called twice daily by these telemarketers. I know other FReepers probably are and it has taken 4 months to find out exactly who they are and how to reach them. They telemarket for several companies, so it would not hurt to be put on their no call list even if your not getting calls yet from them.

When I get sufficiently irritated, I do this ...
When the telemarketer asks to speak to Mr. So-and-so, I pause for about five seconds, then say "He passed away last week". The caller gets all flustered and apologizes, and --- I don't get a telemarketer call from anybody for 2 to 3 months. I think my answer triggers a fast and particular response from the industry. Pity it doesn't last.

Thank You brigette!!! This telemarketing firm is on my "highly desireable impact site" for all space junk which is in a decaying orbit. I called them, expressed my "feelings" about being called at 11:00pm and 7:00am. I am now anxiously awaiting my six to eight weeks of freedom.
For those of you wanting to retaliate, their main customers who contract their services are American Express and Discover Card. I am letting the e-mails fire to both those companies.

Simple cure, use your answering machine to screen your phone calls. Change your message to "IF YOU ARE TELEMARKETEERS, PLEASE REMOVE US FROM YOUR LIST." all others please leave a name and number and we will get back to you. It's FREE and works quite well, we have been doing this for about a year now...AW BLESSED SILENCE from the ringing phone. Calls start dropping off rapidly and keep dropping off.

That would work if I ever got to talk to a person. I get an average of 2 automated hangups every night and I cant figure out who it is...

These days I don't pick up the phone if the caller ID shows out of area or unknown. Recently, however, I've noticed caller numbers of 000-000-0000 - I wonder what this is.

Guess what brigette???? After going onto their no call list yesterday, I am hearing from them today every hour! The caller ID is from Nova Scotia, which is outside the law governing US telemarketers. I called the person @RMH in Philly at the number you posted. She insisted there was no operation of RMH in Nova Scotia. I made her dial the number while I was on hold and shazam! She was mistaken! They are now switching their calling center trunks to outside the US even though the call technically, but not jurisdictionally originates in the US. Are any other freepers getting the same tactic after getting onto their "no call list"?????

before the election we had one with the same number (000-000-0000 ). It was Barbara Bush (recording) calling my hubby asking him to send in his absentee ballot in Florida.

Worked for us. There are days of silence now, we've had that message on the machine for a year now..gotta say Hello, then pause and deliver the do not call message.

The calling telemarketer uses computers to place the calls and they hang up automatically if a machine is detected. If your recorded message say's Hello.....2second pause, then a recording, the computer will have stuck an actual person onto the line thinking you actually did answer the phone during those two seconds.
There are some firms that will then get even by dumping the call to limbo, and one of those phone company error messages. It will keep repeating, gobbling up most of your tape. Two or three of those will load up your tape so good there is no more room for real calls.
In reference to RMH....I finally got to talk to Lisa Seidel @ ext.2255(hint) Give her a polite earful as I did. She may have been placating me, but she made several promises and gleefully agreed to pass on my frustration with RMH to her directors. These people have tons of call centers in US, Mexico, and Candada. If you don't get your name scrubbed now, you will be haunted day and night.

Well they are back at it again... I guess my next step is to call this Lisa Seidel (Telemarketing Manager). I am also going to call the number everytime they call me and request to be taken off their call list again and again until they act on it. They call at least twice a day, I do not answer the phone but my Caller Id picks up the 506-357-2011 number everytime, since they have to punch in the number to get through, they never leave a message of course. I am also going to send a certified letter with a return signature receipt to Lisa Seidel so that I have proof & a date that my request has been made.
Thanks for the feedback...!

I have an unlisted number, caller ID and have put my number on my state's do not call registry. This seems to have slowed down the calls, I get around 3-4 calls a week.

Chances are it is RMH calling your house, they call several times a day on daily basis and even on weekends. I bet your calls will stop if you contact RMH and try several ways suggested here to get your message across for them to take you off their call list.

I am also going to try this, as I found that the emails addresss on the website start with the employees first initial and full last name (
lseidel@rmh.com ) - I will make the subject line of the email - Thank you for contacting me... Then the body of the email will have my straight forward demand for them to removed from their call lists. (thanks for the name!)
