Boy the Irish do have a way with language...
just another sign of the origins of euphemism popular in (Scot-Irish) language
in the southern states of the USA...

Do you have this data?
By Dr. John Shaw from "Underworld" by Graham Hancock
Sudden draining of glacial lakes caused sudden rise in sea level as measured in the Caribbean.
14,200 ka - 13.5 m rise
11,500 ka - 7.5 m rise
7,600 ka - 7.6 m rise

I recently read something about this in one of my science magazines. It was a huge lake that covered Canada and parts of the NE US. Apparently when the drainage of this lake changed course, it brought on the Younger Dryar(sp) period. Real interesting article.

The dates are important and coincide with flooding of villages and towns off the coast of India. Sea level rise was worldwide and rapid, that is, a week or so.

"7,600 ka - 7.6 m rise" This is when the Black Sea was flooded.
I'm gonna see if I can find the article I read.

Right. Black Sea flood. Don't know if the other two floods correspond to anything. BTW, there was a huge flood in India about then, too, and they also had an ark that left them up in the Himilayas in their case.

Someone once told me that ancient legends of Ireland have Jeremiah the Biblical prophet going to Tara after the fall of Jerusalem in 586 BC and he had with him the daughter of King Hezekiah who then married the King. If anyone else knows if there are links to this legend, let me know. Fascinating stuff. You have to wonder what kinds of life and ceremonies were going on here long before we probably believed. You would assume there are connections between these people and the folks who built Stonehenge.
