You have hit the nail on the head with your excellent post.
The last sentence you quoted says it all:
"The Republicans of the future do not have to set up the big tent on the same exact political turf of yesteryear."
A good portion were temporarily driven away from the GOP by Buchanan and his "culture war" speech, but I believe a good portion are ready to come back after the incompetence/malfeasance of Clinton-Gore.

Buchanan though right on immigration has always been a double agent imho working for the dumbocrats. He was probably Deep Throat and he mainly preaches socialist crap.

This article pretty much described me. I love the show, have been known to eat at Taco Bell, am more of a libertarian conservative than a Christian conservative because I believe in secular government, and am a fiscal conservative.
I think this name could stick.

Great comments E Rocc & hchutch, I think I just found my alter egos. Being a "newbie" (but a long time lurker)I was surprised to find so many interested in "South Park". (Maybe there really "more like me" and I'm no Gen'xer!!) My sense of humor sometimes draws strange looks from my conservative cohorts but they eventually catch on!!
